Reputation, New Profile, & Little Things

Just trying to throw out my opinion here.

I'm pretty sure that for every 100 rep points you have, you get a rep gem. Nobody has a second gem yet, and it really isn't that new. I think that it should be lowered to 50 rep points, so that every 50 points will earn you a gem and the Reputation system feels as if it has more of an effect.

Another little thing is concerning the smilies on the right side when you are doing a post. It is set up 6 x 3, and there is an empty space in the bottom right corner. I don't know if it's possible, but maybe 1 more smilie could be added there. How about a scared one? :scared: I just think it would look nicer.

This one isn't really a big deal either, but maybe Bronze and Silver could get their own respective colors too?

I'm not sure about this one, but the ability to choose what you get notifications for.

One last thing. When at the Members List, it'd be cool to be able to choose to view it by the profile upgrades, so that you could see who has what profile upgrade.

Well, this is just my opinion. I'd like to hear what you think of this, and if it can or will be done. Thanks.

I'll give my opinion on a few things here ;P

For the rep system, I think it should stay the same.
Getting to 100 rep is hard, and it should stay that way. Winning your second rep gem should symbolize that hard work. Reaching 50 points isn't that hard
But also because later on, from what I know, rep points are given out by a lot more. On another forum where I'm familiar with the rep system, a member has about like 4000 rep, and gives out about 50 rep points...And she's been a member for a year and a half.
So you can tell how that'll become annoying lol.


For Bronze and Silver, didn't CC say that he didn't want to make the member's list too much like a rainbow? That's why he didn't add them in the first place.
But I'm all for adding new features for them.

The new profiles were taken off because really, nobody was using them much. And I doubt many people will use them in the future if they had a choice.
When some people see something simple, and something complex at first sight. They'll choose the simple profile.

It can't be changed. I spoke to cartman about it before. Things will speed up once people get 3-4 gems as their rep power is increased.

This one is about the new profiles. I think it would be better if you could choose the default profile that people see. That way you can tell which one that person prefers, so you can comment on the right one.

We've spoken about it before. We don't want the active users list to become a rainbow, and bronze/silver aren't really worthy of their own colours (IMO) because it's easy to buy them O_O

Nice idea, but I think it's fine the way they are. Although more options on the notifications on the Zoints profiles is definitely welcome. Who wants a PM telling them they got a Profile message lol?

Actually no, A lot of things takes it into consideration. Post count, rep count, how long you've been here, how long the rep system has been active...All these things balance it out to give you a "Rep Power", but it mostly depends on how much rep you have.

Rep power decided by the system.

If you check the who's online, Mods, Admins, Gold & Elite users have their colours appear there too, so if every group were to have a colour, it'd just be like a huge rainbow.

Well, colours can be seen on the "Who's online" section, and I think it'd become more annoying with more colours...We already have enough as it is And it'd be like a rainbow

I just checked the 'Who's Online' thing and I get it now. I didn't really care much anyways since I plan on getting Elite. There's some other pretty cool stuff down there too.

Rep power is automatic, but I can also change the rep power of a user if I'd like. I don't do that, but the option is there.

i agree it should be dropped because many dont even use the reputation system. i do somtimes but mostly giving people approves. i have never dis approved anyone
