Yep, the makers of one of the best games this generation is finally announcing their "Project Icarus", the secret codename for this game.
Bioshock just rawked, and so I can't wait to see what their next game is... hopefully its multiplatform
But yeah, I think it's a new IP, but we'll see won't we D:

Well, as I said, I'm fairly certain it'll be a new IP. However, it could be any genre... I'm betting/ hoping it'll be a story-based game as awesome as Bioshock... but yeah.

This statement is true.

It'll probably be another Bioshock game. They just love series, and I think there was an interview where thy said they might extend the series to Bioshock 6 (but I think a trilogy would do).

But they didn't even make Bioshock 2 O_o. I'm pretty sure they said it was a new IP and that they were done with Bioshock, which is why another company made Bioshock 2 <_>

Yeah !
Thanks for the news.
I loved Bioshock, but if this new game turns out to be an FPS, I just hope it'll be as unique as Bioshock, more like a first-person adventure game. Making a CoD-like would be utterly uninteresting for me.Last edited by Oddmania; 08-03-2010 at 04:44 PM.

A third Bioshock would be great, indeed ! However, about the surprise effect and the unique atmosphere, I don't think we'll feel like it anymore. The first one was amazing, the second one was still awesome but less surprising... Even its developers said Bioshock 3 (if it turns out to be made) will probably not take place in Rapture.
So, they might as well make something else. I guess it's not possible anymore, but making a game based on the first concept of Bioshock, what it was supposed to be at first, would be a great idea ! At first, Bioshock was supposed to be a game quite similar to Moreau's Other Island. It'd be way different enough to be made..

I'm crossing my fingers for System Shock 3. If it was that it would also be awesome if they brought back Co-op!

Simply awesome. I would've liked to say something more interesting than Ololololz amazingly awesome for this, but this is awesome.
A City in the Sky. And, what's more, a Victorian/19th century atmosphere, so probably some Steampunk features. I'm entirely won over.
Edit : Well, I thought it would take place in 1895 or so, but I've just read it'll take place in 1912. So, right, not really the 19th century

Some time in 2012 is much too far away from now to start getting hyped for a game.

Didn't read the other article, but this is probably similar. I assume there is no actual video for the live demo that these websites have seen?Last edited by Fish94; 08-12-2010 at 08:27 PM.
