Default Little Big Air Hockey (2 player)

I just wanted to share my idea for a 2 player arcade level in LBP2.
Here's an early concept I made in LBP:

I think this could be a good first game to make, to get to know some of the new tools.
The new competitive options would come in handy and the fact that every player will get their own camera online, will help to make this a fun level to play. I am thinking about adding a time-limit, and the player with the highest score when the time runs out will be the winner.

The challenge I guess will be to get the physics and the movements right.

    What do you think?

Oh, that's not a bad idea, and from what I've heard so far, it should be pretty simple to build. Good luck with it.

It's simple. But that will let you get detailed with it, and will keep it fun! Maybe some countdown animations or huds could spice it up?

Thanks! Yes I think it will be quite easy to make. I havn't been an advanced creator in LBP but I plan to change that when the new game arrives. But I guess it's good to start of with something in a smaller scale.

Yeah I plan to get detailed. But the gameplay itself will be simple, but fast paced and fun i hope. Yeah a hud would spice it up, and maybe the ability to customize and choose different things.

Perhaps once your done you could make a neon version with the vacuum material.

You could make that know... Just usr a mechanism to quickly activate a spawner then activate the next one in both the pushers so each player is in a pusher. It could only be 2 or 4 players as you could do teams. If you don't know how to time the spawners ask me on PSN. You could really make this now. Like Special_D He made a top down view that wasn't effected by gravity. I could also add a scoreboard mech for you where if it goes in the net from the right team it counts as a goal but if it goes in the net from the wrong team then it doesn't count (So players have to stay on the right team).

I guess it is possible to make something like this even in LBP1, but I won't do that because the final result won't be as good as it could be in LBP2. Movers, DCS, Camera and the competative tools are things that will make levels like this truly playable and fun.

This game is not a big project(obviously), but I think there is more room for smaller arcade-games in LBP2 since the tools will help us to make them as good as we want to.

Oh, I just came up with a sequel for you, too: Shuffleboard!

You should make 2 modes. The first mode is timed and the second you play until someone gets 7 points.

I am definitely thinking about adding different options for the players to choose from.

It would be even better if I was able to include the options to play against the CPU, but I’m not quite sure how I am going to do that. Maybe I could work something out with some movers following a key switch and the randomizer tool.

Or you can train a neural network to play?

This is a great idea using the new tools, people will probably copy your idea and make one for themselves so be sure you have some original ideas. Neon lights flashing when someone scores and adding the cool sound effects will make this a killer game!
