SteamFunk by kn0cked-0ut
Steamfunk takes place on a rusty scrapyard, its my latest and last littlebigplanet 1 project and I hope you can enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!
The idea behind this project was unlike my other levels, to create a more fun and less serious level that has a bit more cartoony and media molecule style in it. Which means no extra layers, instead I used Alot of thin layers - I Hope I managed to do that and that you can enjoy my level.

Looks fun, I've been really in to the steampunk theme lately, so I'll try to remember to give this a go this afternoon.

Hello-
Nice work with this level, I loved the theme, nice use of the Rusty Metal/Sandpaper materials. I liked that you added a race gate at the beginning, it made all of the gameplay twice as fun! I ended up getting the high-score with around 10k.

Saw it being developed

Was an absolute pleasure to play. A tad short but finding all the point combos added a decent amount of length
5 stars and heartComing soon:

Woah, it's out!
mentioned it when I first saw it and have been waiting for it to come out. I'll try it later today!
Edit: I played it and here's what I thought.
I liked the style of it even though some parts felt a little randomly decorated but I still loved the style. I didn;t feel like the music fit the level completely but it was okay. I liked the gameplay of it plus the name was great. There was a pretty good amount of points spread out and overall I thought you still did a great job designing the level and the characters weren;t too detailed but they were okay. Overall, I gave it 4 stars and a heart. Not your best work but I still had some fun playing it.Last edited by Dragonvarsity; 08-23-2010 at 11:04 PM.

Thanks for the comments, you should know that I still had alot of thermomether left but I simply didn't have time and I didn't enjoy making this level anymore. Made an ending and published it so it can see daylight instead of rott away on my moon, glad to hear you can still enjoy it ;D

What can I say. This is truely heart and 5 star worthy level. My only complaint is that I encountered a bug just after the first set of crushers just before the checkpoint. I steped back just before I got to the checkpoint and went back to find a door suddenly blocking my way to the checkpoint.
My levels:

-HMS Doubtless part 1 Video now up!
-HMS Doubtless part 2 OUT NOW! (Video on the way)

I played this a couple of days ago and enjoyed it immensely. The level has a really cool style. You've done the scrapyard look really well. I particularly liked how spiky it seemed - all those TV aerial thingies and windmills. Oh, and the magnet with the forks and other random bits and pieces on it made me smile. Brilliant dramatic camera angle just before the scoreboard too.
The race is a lot of fun. Lots of decisions about whether to sacrifice bubbles for speed and how far to push your luck in trying to get past the crushers. Very cool!

and
BTW there's a typo in your level description. Scrapyard is missing an "r".

Outstanding level, lots of fun. This had a really good flow to it, as things made good sense, ie, very intuitive. Steampunk style nicely achieved too. While I'm not sure on the music, at least it wasn't Tea By the Sea, which has been used a lot for this sort of thing. I struggle with music choices in my own levels, so maybe I'm not the best judge of that. I'm sad to say I didn't quite get to the finish line in time since those darn crushers set me back a bit.
Anyway, quite fun. Good luck with it.Live "life near the bone, where it's sweetest." H.D. Thoreau
