Hey man! Just gave this level a play and it was a blast! I loved "The Return of the Chikadee Tree"! It was lovely to see that wonderful tree yet again. The environments and gameplay were great! Just like every other one of your levels. Sorry, I don't have much more to say. But this was a great level over all! Oh, also your hidden spots with scorebubbles were great! I'm not sure if I found all of them or not though.
Keep up the great work! 5 stars and a heart!

Okah, time for some feedback. This is the 11th time I've played it, according to my play count.

Spoiler - Here's your feedback, you sawed off sackmunch!
Part I: Playthrough
Okay, so here we go! Great grassy look, and the third layer glitch really shines here. The environment looks amazing with the materials you picked. Oh yeah tree? Well you know what? I'm using EXTRA plastic water bottles today! And not the recycled kind either! Have fun dying in pollution! The bridge here is beautiful eye candy. Some of the usual switch pulling up ahead, not too much to say about it, other than it's fun and creative.
Okay, so when I first saw the glass circle, I was so relieved. It's incredibly good to know that even the best of the best use a good old GAMEPLAH FILLAR once in a while. *grab wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee* I love the way the floor appears under you in this section.
Next thing to really talk about is the castle section. Looks amazing, and the stickers really bring it out as well. I did have problems with the gameplay here, however: that spike thing! It moved so fast, and when I did make it, I usually ended up in the gas pit. :-( But oh well, no harm done. On to the end area - which looks absolutely amazing, and was clearly created for the sole purpose of looks. Great end to a great level!
Part II: Summary
Wow, another great Jonze level! This one is a bit different from the rest though - it was a real artfest in here. Materials looked amazing as usual, but even more so here. And with this level, I hereby award you your Jr. Sticker User badge - it's nice to see one of us figured them out. :-D There's also some nice objects in here - from the various Chickadee trees to Sack's awesome windmill (Grr, you knew I was doing a windmill level) house, there's plenty of eye candy.
Gameplay is also awesome. Though not as groundbreaking as TCII, it's still the classic switch pulling, BUBBALS grabbing fun. There's a lot of variety in the mix too, puzzle in the 'forest', classic in the castle, and filler in between. There's something for everyone!
One thing disapoints me though: no starting dialog? I would have liked to hear a bit about how Sacky escaped TEH DANGERUS ISLA MOYA!
I'm sorry things are turning out so short, it's very hard for me to express how much I love (or in this case, lurve) your levels. Great job though!
Part III: Review
Looks: 5/5
Platforming: 5/5
Story: 4/5
Originality: 5/5
Replay Value: 5/5
The Good: Joo lrn these stickar thingz? Joo teach meh plox? GREAT ARTWORK!
The Bad: Spike pillar of doom!
The Ugly: Number of times said obstacle killed me.
Five stars and a green, grassy heart!Last edited by BlueBulletBill; 09-09-2010 at 09:42 PM.

Hello, I just played your level a little while ago and it is quite amazing. Going for the point bubbles is not my cup of tea but I can appreciate the effort you put into making this level good for the score hunters out there. I did manage to stumble across two somewhat hidden bubble rooms by accident while trying to find the way to go.
To be honest, I didn't really find much wrong with it; there were the occasional parts where I wasn't exactly sure which way to go, but that's usually me just being dumb. I also couldn't figure out how to get the glass circle moving for like 10 seconds until I saw the dissolve, but yet again, that's just me being dumb.
The visuals in this level were quite good, especially in the beginning and the end. They were kind of simple in the middle, but that didn't bother me, due to the nature of the gameplay in these sections. I really didn't understand the story or why the trees had to hurt my feelings, but yet again, that was okay. For me, my favorite part was the entire middle.
I recently played your level Tera Cota as well, and from these two, I can see that you have a very unique style with platforming which I find very enjoyable. The pacing is spot on; it doesn't feel like too much is happening at once, but there is always a lever to pull, an obstacle to avoid, or some point bubbles to collect. It all flows very smoothly from one room to the next, and the cameras show enough to know what to do and restrict enough to hide the next area. My favorite obstacle was the two triangles with the slingshot-like things; even though I didn't really understand why they were designed like that, they proved quite fun. I also like the part where you jump down and grab the ceiling, avoiding the things trying to crush you; it looked extremely difficult to pull off but turned out to be amazingly executed time wise to allow a smooth crossing.
Lastly, the visuals at the end were a nice touch to this amazing level. I rated it 5 stars and hearted it
.

Hey, nice level.
This is my favorite level of yours so far. The visuals were great, especially at the ending area. Like all of your levels, this had loads of tough-to-nail point combos, and a bunch of crazy corner editing. Your humor at the beginning was good too. Overall, fantastic work! I rated the level

hi there VJ!
first of all, im really not sure if you named the level after the song "over the hills and far away" but if you did, i just want you to know that if it was possible that song was already
'ed by me
then, i didnt start the level already and i knew i would love it, 'cause i read the lvl description and it mentioned something about isla moya (my favourite level so far) so... yeah, nice idea to put it in the level description
and finally i started the level, and like half minute after i'm laughting at the "dont-realy-know-why-are-they-angry-with-me" trees and then laught harder at the one saying "you're not really popular are you?"
and then the fun started, the awsome VJ-platform came and i had fun until i saw the scoreboard... that was a dark moment right there... i wanted the level to continue, becouse... i mean... i found it big (and awsome) but not as big as others from you (yet as awsome)...
so yeah, i gave it

and obviously a
!
(and could you leave feedback on the fade to black level please? , i know you've already played and
'ed it, and im very thankfull for that, but well... that level only got 2 coments from others
)
awsome tiny sig FTW

@eagerneph - Glad you liked it dude, I hope you are working on something new for us.

@metsfan1025 - Thanks for your great feedback, I am glad you liked it and Tera Cota!! Congratulations on you new level being spotlighted.
@FrogBoy - Thanks buddy!! I always enjoy hearing from you, I know you are normally over on the ps3 side of the boards so it's always a great to see you on this side!! Now, how about that Dr. Seuss level?
@Taffey - Thanks dude, it's always good to know that the best of the best enjoyed one of my simple levels!!
@nosemomkey - Thanks for your awesome feedback buddy!! Yes, I did name this after the Zeppelin song. In truth, I was listening to Ramble On, he is talking about, "leaves are falling all around, it's time I was on my way." And it made me want to make a level based on the season Autumn. But Ramble On did not seem like an appropriate title, so I went with Over the Hills. It's cool that a young dude like yourself, digs Zeppelin!! Later man!!
@Everyone- Thanks for your continued support of this level, I am sorry I took so long to respond to you all, I think I have gotten to you all now.
Edit: Sheesh, I forgot to thank B3 for his review, look below.
If there is anyone I have missed on the f4f, post here, or send me a PM.

Sorry to double post, but I forgot to thank B3.

Thanks so much for the wonderful review of my level. It made my day, and I appreciate it.
BTW, after your review I made a decision to make a level of what happened between Isla Moya and Over the Hills. I am just as curious as you as to what transpired between those two levels.
Look for it this holiday season.
Later buddy!!

You know, it's funny, I was playing my LBP PSP and then for some random reason I wanted to check the community moon. I checked and their were three new VelcroJonze levels! I downloaded them all but soon realised that this was the only playable one. So I deleted them and played this one Approximately 3 times. I wish I could give you some feedback but my profile is corrupt. Until I get it fixed and redownload this level I can't.
Feeling sad,

Hey VelcroJones,
Ok, so this is very late but this level deserves more detailed feedback.
You really need to do more custom items in your levels because the ones in OtHaFA are amazing. The scene with the house at the end was beautiful. The trees were great too. On top of that you were able to blend them in with your art style perfectly. I also want to point out how consistently good your camera work is. With amount of movement and speed in your levels, this is no simple feat.
The pacing was slower than your other levels. I liked the change. The combos were still there but I had to work a little harder to find them which I enjoy. The hazards were well crafted and fun to work through. As someone else said at first glance they look overly menacing but more enjoyable than frustrating to pass. I hate to admit that one of the reasons this took so long was that I wanted to find the sticker switch before the review but I couldn't. I thought it was behind the wall with the similar sticker, but that wasn't it=P
I enjoyed the playfulness of the characters. The angry trees are great. I only wish the owl had a unprotected brain. I worked my way up there but was only able to jump on his head a few times. I look forward for the back story in your next level. If you do do a level about the trees here is a song that might get you in the mood, The trees. Sorry, I just love the song.
I'm going to end this by saying that I can see your skills increasing in every level you do. I'm looking forward to your increasingly better visuals mixed in with the patented VJ gameplay.
