It's a good game but rather repetitive after awhile. Hopefull BAA 2 will be juicier with you roaming Gotham. Bring on catwoman! XD

@Dapiek Absaroka, In Arkham Asylum Oracle is Batwoman.
Or atleast as far as my logic goes.

Your logic is faulty.

But yeah. In the comics, the first Batgirl, Barbara Gordon (Commissioner Gordon's daughter) is shot in the chest during The Killing Joke (one of the best Batman novels evah) by the Joker since the Joker is trying to make Commissioner Gordon insane (it's where The Dark Knight's plot of the Joker trying to turn Harvey insane came from, only then it actually worked, which is cool to tie the two together). Anyway... after Batgirl was shot, she became a paraplegic, and became Oracle in order to continue to help Batman even when confined to a wheelchair.
In the Arkham game universe, I'm not sure she's actually in a wheelchair, though she's obviously still Gordon's daughter through dialogue and stuff, but yeah.
Still.
...
/cough
Anywho... um...
... BETTER BOSSES/runs
This statement is true.

Thanks!

Barbara has had 3 successors to the Batgirl title as well: the Huntress (albeit very shortly), Cassandra Cain (a fan favorite character, and DC's editorial chew toy), and the Spoiler (the current Batgirl in the comics) had taken up the mantle at seperate times after the Killing Joke. They also happen to all be great characters in their own right and I'd love for all of them to make appearances in their iconic costumed alter egos, but if that were the case the game might self-destruct from awesome overload.
Batwoman is also a completely seperate person/identity.

Technically she is Oracle, however, in the Arkham game universe they never mention her past as Batgirl, so we don't really know.
At any rate...
So yeah. About the Predator Challenges. I hate that, in the first game, you had to do three tasks as fast as possible to win the medals. If there are Predator challenges in this game, I hope they have a scoring system so that taking out enemies more creatively gets you more points, to emphasize creativity when hunting people down. Just my only complaint with Batman 1 :/
This statement is true.

I wouldn't mind predator challenges being removed completely in favor of having more story mode campaign content.

Predetor Challanges was awesome to me.
@RockSauron
Here is Oracle's Biography in Batman Arkham Asylum.
I took the liberty to Bolden the important text.
Story:
The daughter of Gotham City's Police Commissioner James W. Gordon, Barbara
Gordon was forbidden by her overprotective father from joining the GCPD.
Instead, she took on the identity of Batgirl and was a crime-fighting partner of
Batman for years. But that all ended when the Joker shot her through the spine.
Paralyzed from the waist down and confined to a wheelchair, Barbara adopted the
new identity of Oracle, and now aids the Dark Knight with her computer
expertise, providing Batman with a constant stream of information in the field
to aid his battle against crime.
According to that in the Arkham Universe she is oracleLast edited by TheChannel; 09-05-2010 at 05:35 PM.

I see, you're saying that everything that happened in the database is true in the Arkham universe. not so. For instance, Hugo Strange had an entry in the database, yet Batman's encounter with him in AC is their first encounter. The database tells the story of the comics, which isn't necessary the story of the games, so we can't be sure that Oracle was once Batgirl. And why the hell are we arguing over that? >_<
This statement is true.

You said they never mentioned her past as batgirl but in the bio it says she is/was Batgirl
and... isnt this thread about Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, you bringing in Alternate Timelines...?Last edited by TheChannel; 09-05-2010 at 06:02 PM.

You said Oracle was Batwoman, I corrected you. The bio doesn't mean anything, since it refers to the comics which take place in a different universe then the games, which exist in their own universe with no continuity outside of the games.
I said she was Batgirl >_<. In the comics yes, we just don't know for sure that she was Batgirl in the games because the games don't take place in the same universe as the comics. Ok, can you grasp that now? >_< Can we get back to the game?
This statement is true.

Ohhhhh, I can't wait for this one, I loved the first game, I think it is the only game I have ever closed in on a platinum trophy. I was only hindered by one of those last challenges getting a score of 20 000 or so by beating up bad guys. ARGH. Apart from that 100% story mode

This sounds even bigger and better, so I am looking forward to this big time. Must buy
Returned for PS3 and cookies.
