About the Halloween fun

We think it's hilarious what you guys have come up with to celebrate Halloween on LBPCentral, and we fully support this kind of creative fun. We honestly think it's awesome. However, we still want to make sure that there isn't too much confusion caused by all of this, so we're putting a small restriction in place. Here are the basics:

Changing your username to directly copy or imitate another user is fine, but you may not copy or imitate the username of a member of Site Staff, Sony, Media Molecule, or Sony Cambridge. Avatars and other profile fields are still fair game.

Why are we doing this?
Well, we noticed that all these username changes could be potentially confusing for new members, especially if they're looking to get in touch with Site Staff or similar and accidentally contact the wrong individual. When deciding how to deal with this, we had a few potential options: one, we could allow things to continue unabated, which might've worked out but which might've also caused lots of confusion for newer members; two, we could have only chosen the users that were picking usernames that we felt were "too" similar to ours, but that's too ambiguous and could cause lots of uproar about us being unfair to certain members; or three, we could come up with a blanket rule that prohibited imitating the username of any member of those four groups, which, while more harsh, is a much more fair solution than the second and much more effective than the first.

I fall into the category of "imitating Site Staff, Sony, Media Molecule, or Sony Cambridge." What do I do?
Well, it's not like this is a rule we've always had in place, so as long as you guys help us get this solved, nobody's going to get in trouble over this. Just get in touch with me about it and we'll change your username (for free, one time only) to another of your choice.

Just lock the ID name change during this period, CC.
Can be funny with the pics, but with the ID is just too much.
This period is always a mess.
A good joke is a joke that has a reasonable length and a month is waaaaay too much to be reasonable.
A week, 10 days would have been more fair.
People will get tired in a month of their new identity, change to another user twice or thrice in 30 days and bring the mayhem to the Nth level.

EDIT: I also thought I should metion, the two username changes I got haven't decreased my XP at all, I could buy as many as I like I think. Is this happening with everyone, or is it just mine broken?

I love all this confusion
BUT.... Name changing to a mod is a bit risky as it could lead to loads of problems if people didn't realise they were sending important info to the wrong person. Say for example they were reporting someone for something that was a friend of the 'disguised mod' and then they told the person who was reporting them for something. That would cause a lot of arguments and problems.......
