Mechanism to make score bubbles and bombs emit faster

Alright guys, I'm gonna try making another mini-game soon, but I need to know how to make a sort of mechanism that will emit score bubbles and bombs faster and faster. You know, to steadily raise the difficulty as time passes.

I'm not sure how they did it in the tie skipping, But I believe it was the speed option? Again, not sure if that is it.

Make a magnetic key switch set to Speed and then attach a piston to the magnetic key switch which sets off the other one. Then make the radius so it can only just get it. As the Piston starts moving inwards, it gets closer to the magnetic key switch, thusly making points and bombs drop faster and faster.

Good call, man. I was totally baffled as to how that was done in the tie skipping stage!
