Thread: Frigid Facade

    Default Frigid Facade

Hey all! Coming here with my last level for LBP. Its a winter theme story level series where the King and Queen is in a bit of trouble but Sackboy is here to save the day. I went back old school so it has some tricky parts and doesn't have many infinite life checkpoints. Sabre_ has made part 2 so go try his out too to complete the series . Special thanks to Mr. Orange, Ninjamicwz, Sabre_ and zynax555 for ideas and technical support.

Thanks to the following people for testing: Danielmt8, kallio99, Lfiers, talbottrembler, K3NDRAKRAY, jaslow, booXely, zerotiger99, Lockstitch, dragonvarsity, Silence_Rai, Ladonna2, PSYNTENS, nitewalker11, Bmoney2310, Aquila_Shock-99 and PrincessK12.

I had a blast with this one Light! Overall atmosphere and simple yet fun gameplay kept it entertaining to the very end. I almost lost it when I realized it wasn't infinite lives..made me slow down for once! As always...5 stars!

Hey dude! Sweet level! I loved the changing styles, the characters were good too. All the visual switches and buttons made it feel like an Mm level. Also the ice running was a lot like Frozen Village's, not that that was a bad thing. I thought the snowmen boss at the end was creative and I loved how you put secrets in. I found all of them because once I discovered the first, I had to find them all!

    Great level, and a

I'll play it when I get enough time or something like that... Anyway, what I tested was fantastic and I particularly like the beginning with all the snow. Speaking of snow, I'm expecting to see more of it or else! (Empty threats are my favorite.)

It is a cool level badge.

I saw this in create mode (level) and it was amazing! The effort you put into it is superb!!! I CBA to make level this close to LBP2, good to see someone can. Brightens everything up 'round here (LBP). I can't wait to see what you make in LBP2.

Thanks everyone! Glad everyone is enjoying the series. I thought not having infinite life checkpoints would turn players the other way. Glad some players still like a challenge every once in awhile.

    @ Aquila_Shock-99

Sorry Aquila. have added you to the tester list

    @ Zynax555

You got your wish . Hope you enjoy the ending

Dude, how do you release levels so often?! O_O

+ Oh snap. That "grab the thing and run to turn the wheel" is a nice idea.
The rest is good also. No problems.
Lack of infinite checkpoints made it more interesting.
Glad that one below the four snowmen was infinte though.

One suggestion: Delay the activation of the magic mouths by a few seconds each.
You get to see the result of your actions that way. (falling logs/snowmen deaths/etc)
EDIT: I think at least 3 MMs need delays.

LOL I dont know. I think its some kind of impulse problem. Every time I end a level I start a new one. I think on lbp2 Ill be taking my time on levels for now on.

Yea I liked that idea too and wanted to have more gameplay with the wheel but I guess Ill save it for another time.

Are you refering to the speech bubble after killing the first two snowmen? I think thats it...Ill go add the delay in. i have nothing else to do XD

    Thanks for the review bro
