Default Emitters: Help creating a point-bubble "Cannon"?

I would like to create little cannons that fire 10 point bubbles when someone jumps on a switch. It seems like this should work, but in practice it's not.

I create an emitter, and assign it to shoot point bubbles.

I tweak the velocity and set the frequency low, like 0.2.

I set the lifetime of the point bubbles to be infinite (or "oo")

Then, I set the max emitted to 10 and the number you can have at a time to 10, and it just doesn't do anything.

I try hooking up a red switch to the emitter, and of course it still doesn't work.

    Any suggestions?

Again, the goal is to "fire" this cannon, have a bunch of point bubbles shoot out, and then the cannon cannot be fired again.

Thank you in advance for any help!

I don't think you can have the lifetime to infinite, I'm not sure, but it would make sense because it would emit only 10, but since the bubbles never dissolve, the emitter can't keep emmiting since there is already 10 bubbles emmited, just have the number really long or long enough for a person to be able to grab them.

Sometimes emitters are just screwy. Try deleting the current one, and replacing it with a new one. Or, change where the point bubbles are emitted from.
