EDIT: Maybe not. When I attempt to log in, it says "Your account is not allowed to log in."... the hell?

I wasn't able to log in until I had the disc in the system and logged in. It recognized my player data from the beta, which was nice, and I seem to have lost my friends (I think), so everyone will have to add me again.

Also, I hate the AK74M. I can't aim down the iron sights to save my life. And I'm kinda not good. I will be much more accurate once I get a red dot sight for either gun, I'm sure. Also, my K/D is like 1:2. And my win-loss percentage is also not good. And suprisingly, for all the people that bought this game on day 1, nobody uses their mic.

Also, I hate tanks. With a passion. Although I have had the opportunity to destroy a couple so far, which is absolutely exhilarating. And I am very good at driving helis and jets into the ground.

Anyways, go to my profile and add me already (link above.) And sign up for the platoon.

Tanks are easy to get rid of. In fact, you die easily when you're in a tank because of the suicide bombers on the other team. BF: 1943 had the same thing, only it was kamakazis, and the crashes looked hilarious!

Do you still get more points for a squad revive than a kill?
This is how I'd always finish in the top 3 in the previous games despite killing hardly anyone... playing as the squad medic.

Sure, they're easy to kill unless you're on a map like Grand Bazaar or Tehran Highway, where the streets and buildings are so close there's hardly any maneuvering or hiding before you're mowed down, run over or blown up. I just hate them on those maps because it's very difficult to avoid being caught in its crossfire unless you can head down an alley or get behind something BIG, like a hill. On bigger maps, such as Operation Firestorm or Kharg Peninsula it's a bit easier to find cover or keep your distance. It's especially worse when you're defending and they park it right in front of the MCOM and start squad-spawning from behind the sucker.

TL;DR: I was not prepared for the vehicles in this game.

Edit: also, the SPECACT pre-order bonus was mysteriously missing from my purchase. I am currently waiting for a representative to give me the PSN code. Even MORE mysterious is the fact that this pre-order bonus is NO LONGER MENTIONED on the BF3 website.

    Edit2: Apparently it's a known issue.

In addition: PS3 voice chat is pretty much non-functional, according to forum reports. Now I did hear some chatter and it showed my mic as being on, but there was pretty much nobody talking for the duration I played.

Is there any story behind the heraldry?

    Is there a motto?
    If not there should be.

I suggest "Ludo Lorem Ipsum" - Latin for "Play Create Share"

Well, the heraldry is simple: the cog/wheel represents the cold, steely nature of our metaphysical philosophy, a juxtaposition of Nihilism and Post-Modern Modalism. The skull represents death, but more so the skeletal structure of the corps de espirit that makes up our platoon. The star is actually representative of the star Sadalsuud, also known as Beta Aquarii. It is the home solar system of the Aquarii race, with whom I have been communicating via telepathy for quite some time. And the bullets are, well... just bullets. But it's got a shield with WINGS! How awesome is that!?

In reality, I made it in about 15 minutes of doinking around in Battlelog and used the beta platoon logo as a template and added a few more icons. If you have any suggestions, such as more fire or dinosaurs, or anything else, let me know. You can also fool around in Battlelog and create your own platoon and figure out an alternative logo. I'm open to new/better ideas.

    Motto sounds good.

No, that explination was so brilliant - we have to keep it now!

    Long Live The Aquarii!

    I think the proper latin (not that I would know) would be;
Adludio Lorem Ipsum .... It sounds latiny enough for a heraldic motto

So me and ryan beat the co-op missions. They were really fun, yet short. But oh boy, have fun getting a helicopter mission thrown at you almost instantly, with no option to choose who flies and who doesn't.

Also co-op is a really quick way to get good weapons. AKA THE REX AW YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

What's the replayabilty scope for the co-op?
I remember reading there was a random element to the co-op?

I think we played 3 or 4 missions, and got the REX, and once we had finished the sixth mission, we had almost unlocked the next thing. So, I'd say fairly quickly.

@Macnme I didn't really see any randomness, aside from some enemy spawns on the helicopter mission. On the other missions, it seemed pretty much the same each time we played them.

    Done.

Also, I am getting my butt handed to me every round. It's a bit infuriating but it makes me want to be better. By the end of the beta I was on the positive side of K/D and winning more rounds than losing. It would help if chat were working properly so we could coordinate better. I've also been primarily playing rush. I'm looking to mix things up a bit... what game mode should I try next?

Also, I've been equipping the underslung grenade launcher, which with the underslung attachment is supposed to let me switch to the launcher without using the gadget, but I have no idea how to access it without hitting the gadget button. Am I doing it wrong?

It's a pretty interesting subject. I've been meaning to read this book on heraldry for ages.

There's a strict order and use of colours involved. All I know at the moment is the emblem in the top left quarter of a shield is considered dominant and I think "LBPC" is in the place the motto would be in the pic.

Compare the English and Scottish variants of the UK coat of arms for some lols.
