Took me forever to get Missiles too!

Actually I got heat seekers just like that . The real pain is getting flares because I started playing online a bit late and everyone already leveled up a lot ( because i hurried to finish the SP). I took me forever because as soon as I start chasing someone and trying to put them down with the minigun I get locked onto and the rest we all know quite well.
Now I'm having a hard time adapting to the new helicopter controls (bc2 veteran here) and specially AHs . I start off ok then as soon as I tilt left or right I fall down like a rock. Any advice?

I saw this game in the sales today, and I've noticed a few of my friends from school playing it online. I've never owned a first person shooter before so do you guys think this one is relativley simple to get into? my cousin said it was somewhat like warhawk soI don't think I'll find it too hard, but is it worth £17.99?

I am a vet too I found them extremely awkward to fly the first time i tried, mostly because Instead of tilting, you turn by using the left stick (By default) I just took it slow and tried to avoid using too many maneuvers until I got a hang of the new controls. Scout helicopters are lighter, and more deadly because they can hover and fly quicker, oh, and they have miniguns too!

Somewhat like warhawk being the fact that it has vehicles in it, other than that it is the complete polar- opposite of warhawk. Other players take about a quarter or less of a clip to kill, depending on your accuracy and weapon of choice.
There are multiple classes to choose from: Recon( The sniper) Engineer (SMGs/ RPG/Explosives) Assault (Assault rifles, Medic) and Support 9LMGs and Ammunition). You can play any class freely and choose between them each time you spawn (If you so choose) and the only major difference is the tools and guns the class can use. I assure you its NOTHING like an RPG FPS. The vehicles take ahwile to get used to, and flying a jet isnt for the easily frustrated. (There are multiple tutorials for this, though)



I DO suggest getting this if your trying to get into FPS games, because its (Literally) one of the best games of its genre out there, its only other Rival is COD, which i assume youve played at least ONE of the games in the series at least once, but it does have somewhat of a slope regaurding the learning curve, because people have already gotten high up in the ranks, and unlocked some of the good weapons/ attachments. But this is just MY opinion, choose depending on what your playstyle is, if its fast paced- arcade action, go for COD or some other FPS. If its tactical, somewhat -Strategic based warfare, Get this.

I enjoy playing the engineer most but after seeing the painful lack of any healing guys in random matches I've recently switched to playing as them. I particularly like the map on the mountain with the tunnel in it, and also the map where one team spawns on the massive military ships because of the abundance of helicopters. I have some extra cash left over on my psn from christmas so was wondering if the add on pack is worth buying for a casual player, Who tends to play only on weekends, when I'm not out with my mates or doing homework (equates to about an hour a week)? other then the 4 new maps whats been added to the game from the pack? any new modes? are the maps any good?

Buy it. Now. It adds 4 new, well (Old, remastered maps from battlefield 2), 10 new guns (2 per class) and a new mode for the new maps only called "Conquest assault" In which one team controlls all of the objectives at the begginging of the match where as the other team spawns with tons of artillery and vehicles to re- capture the bases. If you play conquest on any of the new maps (Not the old ones) it will automatically switch to this mode (On consoles) the only exeption being "Gulf of oman" in which it is possible to get regular conquest. It also adds 4 new vehicles, (a forklift, a new jet, a new Helicopter, and a new tank)

The really good players will be playing here more, but with skill comes strategy, and youll have an easier time finding some good squadmates to kick some butt with. I highly reccomend it.

The last two are weapons for all classes. Their not that bad either.

@Ayneh Yeah i noticed a price rise in Australia as well. When my brother bought it on PSN it cost him $99 without any specials but now its gone up to $109. Still for the price its the best FPS i have ever played.

Now that both me and my brother have the game on PS3 we are constantly near the top of the score boards. Also the Karkland maps are great for getting high scores and a lot of kills (Especially knife kills).

Not sure why, but I found this hilarious.

Ha i just had an epic knife fight yesterday with some guy it was like the star trek scene where kirk fights that green reptile creature. We fought for at least five minutes and both had at least 10 hit points at the end before he came at me and i dodged and he landed in fire and died. I was so upset i didn't get the kill and he quit the match after that.
But its good to see fire actually hurts you in this one.

We fought for at least five minutes and both had at least 10 hit points at the end before he came at me and i dodged and he landed in fire and died. I was so upset i didn't get the kill and he quit the match after that.

Lmao thats awesome... my knife fights always end up in someone switching to a LMG and hosing me untill Im nothing but a pile of guts, or a random guy in a jeep runs me over, like a deer on a highway. It gets eally funny at points though, some guy hit a jet into a building with 4 enemies on top of it and it collapsed, killing 3 of them, while the other ran for his life, only to be killed by the SECOND jet that hit the building. I lughed for a good 5 minutes, and unable to focus on the game for the rest of that match.


As for the every class weapons, one is a shotgun and the other is an smg if I remeber correctly, if memory serves, the shotgun is the KHG 85 or something along the lines of that. the new guns are hard to unlock unfortunately, seeing as you need to do somthing special to unlock each one. Ive got the FAMAS and the First LMG so far. Now to unlock the rest... TO GOOGLE!

ALRIGHT... So I found a list of the DLC weapons and the requirements to unlock each. Some of them are extremely weird, however. 0.e

Yeah thats how most of mine go as well especially when your winning the fight so they shoot you to prevent their tags being taken.
I did have a pisol fight with one guy also that was fun. We both ran infront of each other and i gave him ammo and he gave me health then we both realised we were on separate teams. I pulled out my knife at first but then he pulled out his Rex and stood there facing me so i then pulled out my silenced pistol. At first i wasn't sure what he was doing but then i realised he was walking backwards and then stood still.
Si i did the same. We both started to fire and strafe each other like in a western film but then a tank ran me over.

I love it when you come across someone with some class. But i hate it when others intervene in little duels like that because they are very rare. I'll be lucky to ever get a duel like that again.

Anyone else can't use the unlocked semi-automatic sniper riffle QB something? I mean I can deploy with it but he just holds it up over his head.
Btw , if you're waiting for the match to start and you see people randomly jumping , then I'm probably in that match .

Finally started playing this! (on pc though) Quite a bit of fun, but can be frustrating at times. Just don't know all the maps yet. Some are recreations of old BF2 maps which helps, but still look different with all the added detail. Love the damage to buildings and such. Really can change the landscape!!

You have NO idea of the power of the destruction until youve been killed by a brick to the noggin from a falling building!

Good choice with the PC version, it gets another 32 players, unlike consoles

Cool tip for anyone who doesn't know: If you hold down the attack button while using the defib, you can actually kill people. Yep, just get up close and aim at the chest area and viola! It doesn't have any animation so its much quicker than using the knife, plus its always a one hit kill. Unfortunately, from what I've seen, Battelog doesn't track the kills you get with it :C

Ummm... I sorta do. That one map with the Antenna spawn point? Big huge tower thing.. I was gunner for a guy in a tank and he shot it to make it fall for the heck of it, but it ended up falling on us. The reason the game gave me for my death... "Bad Luck". lol

Yeah... it gets pretty wild like in Karkand or that subway one with 64 players!!

Yeah the MG36 does that on the back to karkland maps. It makes it near unusable. There must be something wrong with those maps and the new weapons.
