They nerfed jets and made helis stronger?! MADNESS.

Jets were a pain to knock out of the air. Helis aren't as quick and nimble as jets, so they're more susceptible to taking hits from the ground.

I think they balanced it out pretty well.

I think the reason that this wasn't mentioned is because it was already a feature on PC or something like that. ANYWAY, I'M GOING TO GO GET SOME M60 KILLS. PARTY WHEN I REACH 1000

Any heli as high or higher than a jet could take it out easily, making them stronger and nerfing jets would be a huge pain.. going up against a good attack heli pilot 1v1 would be hell.

Got in the attack chopper last night on Caspian as a gunner... pilot was outside my squad. Climbed to the map ceiling, while he took potshots with his heat seekers at the jets. Meanwhile, all four flags down below were bright freakin' orange. Fortunately I had guided missiles and tried taking out a few tanks... but soon we were so high that I was unable to target anything. Trying to shoot jets with the machine guns is a joke, so I bailed in frustration. There are only a few things worse than an attack chopper pilot who wastes his times taking potshots at jets.

Well.. a good gunner can make a jet run away leaving the pilot to concentrate on position. Seems quite a few tend to end up playing chopper vs chopper. Which is fine... lets me do my thing on the ground or in a tank. lol

Well, I'm longing to get below radar for attack helicopters, because I usually fly less than 100 meters high afraid that if I go any higher a jet will come outta hell and take me down.

I was referring to the heli pilot flying at such a great height. Players who do this with the intent of taking out jets are by no means contributing to their team, i.e.:

A heli pilot's main objective is to both take players to where they're needed and to provide extra firepower for the ground units. They are NOT supposed to be wasting a heli by flying at high altitudes and spraying jets. That is why you have your other teammates get in their own jets and take out the other pilots. It is not that hard to understand how everything works:

Helis - Transportation/Ground fire
Jets - Focus on helis and occasionally take out ground units (must be really a really good pilot to do this, until you unlock Predator Missiles); they counter other jet fighters who are harassing friendly helis

This is why I hate the new BF community so much; they think for themselves and not the team. Yes I'm mad.

I think that the patch might have broken some of the jet stuff. First, heat seekers keep locked on even after the target deploys flares (missiles launched at this moment won't hit the target). Also, most of the heat seekers seem to not hit the target at all. And I managed to get my jet stuck mid-air and had to suicide.
