Default Read ASAP: Collectors Edition [CE] Voucher (guide)

Its come to my attention that a lot of people have been really messing up their CE vouchers by thinking theres a sticker on top of the code and proceeding to peel it off..STOP! That is not a sticker that is just pain in the rear scratch zone if your using a penny or something without grooved in it then its most likely going to glide on top of the surface and make it seem like a sticker, either:
    a) press harder till it works
    b) use a dime or a quarter (notice both coins are grooved on the edges)

If you are one of the unlucky who have ripped the 'sticker' off..find it..place it on a solid surface like a table..and start scratching from the wavy silver and black surface till the code can be read..

If you ruined it beyond recognition, contact LBP in assuming and they'll make you fax them a ton of stuff proving youve really messed it up. Its just a hasstle.

These new codes were designed this way so that you wouldnt scratch to hard and ruin the code, the codes are printed (under) the plastic and the scratching part is ontop of the plastic so it basically works like a glass pane window; once you clear the surface you can see whats underneath..

I hope this helps people either recover, or prevent potential damage.

Yes, read this!!! I thought mine was a sticker because one side was already loose, and half pealed away just fine.

Funny. I just saw the voucher and thought, "Oh. Another scratch off code. Better grab a quarter". I guess I can see how someone can make that assumption, but you've gotta think before you act. :P

I thought it was a sticker, too lol...A tiny bit of the corner was already peeling, so that's why I assumed it was. I took it off, but half of the last letter of the code was ripped off with it. So I guessed what that letter was and got it right lol.

I don't normally encounter scratch cards...this REALLY looked like a sticker to me. Scratch stuff I'm used to seeing is a dull silver...not shiny. Any confusion could have easily been addressed by adding instructions to the card...even something as simple as "Scratch to Reveal Code" printed right on the sticker instead of the black/silver pattern. This was just a bone-headed decision on Sony's part.

Same here. I think this is only for the NA Collector's edition.

    ^That.^
I peeled mine off with no problems. None of the print underneath lifted off.

Nope! I'm North America, and it was a scratch off. Maybe a production error?

Found this out too late, I had to call LBP and luckily they faxed me a replacement code 15 minutes later.

Can you by any chance tell me what the number is unless it's just the 1-800 number on the voucher? Also What option do I select? It gives you like 4 options to use when calling. what happens if I don't have a fax machine can they email me it?

I called them and emailed them about my problem. Hopefully they will help.

Same here, what number do you call? And also, on the voucher, it says it will not be replaced if destroyed, but if other other people are getting their code replaced...

No, what I think he meant is that it's only NA who got the scratch off's rather than saying that NA were exempt from the scratch offs. It seems you may have got the opposite meaning from what he said.

    Can it do any tricks?...

Weird, I'm from Quebec, Canada, and I have a scratch code, but there is no sticker protection or anything, you just can't try to peel it of, the code is printed directly on the paper and the silver stuff it directly on the paper. And I used my fingers to scratch it just fine. I'm used to this, since I bought two PSN cards before, and had ModNationRacers pre-ordered with a code to write (that reminds me there was supposed to be a Sackboy costume for my Mod, but the code wasn't inside the box, so I called at EBgames and they just told me one, took 10 seconds, they didn't even want a proof !)
