Help! Can't make co-op play happen. Does anyone know how hosting a level works, ie I assume that if I select the "play on my own" option the level is closed to joiners. When I'm refused (by everyone it seems), the level starts up anyway and I've tried waiting around for a while for joiners with no luck. It's fine if I can't get in on games in progress...I'm happy to host and I'm not sure why I'm not connecting with anyone (on LBP, that is). Oh, and I'm sure it's not a problem with the internet connection/server.
That said, lonely She-sack seeks LBP friends...(adult-sacks only please).

It seems to be a server issue, co-op is having some major issues as of late, and people are either not being connected at all or being connected and getting stuck in loading screens.

You're right, it is the server. Finally managed to join a game and got stuck in a loading screen. Thanks for the reply.
Here's hoping for a quick patch.
