This is just a warning that most of you won't need, but we need to start educating.
There are levels out there with the 'captured' POD item, the using of which allows you to bring create items into your own POD.
Using this you can easily and accidentally destroy your profile
Unfortunately some items will make the pod disappear, or be destroyed, others will block Sackboy from spawning or kill him, and you will be unable to reset the POD. There is currently no fix other than to delete it and start again.
So use it at your own risk
We will have a fix for this soon, and fix existing broken PODS - if you have a broken pod now, you can wait for this patch to arrive, but there is no date for that at this time, it could be days, it could be longer.
please spread the word!
Thanks![]()

I saw one yesterday and saved it in my queue. I will send a message to the person who has the level and tell him of the danger it can cause.

I didn't play it because I thought something like this would happen, but it would be great if you could impliment the feature safely sometime. It'd make chillin' with friends more fun, plus you'd have a space to test create stuff before putting it in a level

Thanks!

Frankly,
Yes it might corrupt your pod,
but that doesnt say anything about importing the pod into your level..
right?

But why look for a loop hole in the first place? Could just, you know, leave it alone and not try to play with it. Since it was never meant to be in the game in the first place. At least not in this way.
Then again, maybe I took your post wrong, and you're simply concerned because you're trying to create with it. If that's the case then yes, an answer to that question would be nice. Should everyone who has it in levels just go ahead and delete it or not, for feat it will corrupt the file by just owning it.

I am atm re-creating the pod for a level of mine,
having the actual pod next to me makes the process a lot easier.

Me and my friends (redsooty9 & Gluuey) are finding a semi fix a new thread will be made once we got the "stuff"...
EDIT: I found a semi-fix for the Pod Glitch, It's another pod with a few emitters emitting different "things" that ether gets you Pod back to normal or it gives you your Pod back if you deleted it. But I have only tested it out once, so no, I will not make a level containing the PodLast edited by chinook3; 01-29-2011 at 12:05 AM.

The way I see it, this is a glitch like the old material property glitch and theck/thack. You can use it to give you more creative options that Mm never intended, but keep in mind that because Mm never intended them, they may carry risks that Mm never intended. Taking create objects, materials, etc into your actual pod via this glitch is especially risky (as Spaff has pointed out), but not necessarily against any rules. Using the pod as an object in a level is probably reasonably safe, but I would back up my profile first just in case.
The only thing about this that would be against the rules would be publicly telling how to import the pod or any other object from a beta profile.

I have it But I don't want it
Hi I have a question about this Captured pod thing just yesterday I accidentally came across a community level called [LBP2] HIGH SCHOOL
http://lbp.me/v/w3yqvmand as a prize for completing that you are rewarded with a captured pod and PS3 Controller, I was wondering if there were any adverse effects if I deleted the pod and controller From my community Objects or moved them under a different category, I really don't want it in my possetion but I don't want to delete it if doing so could effect my profile.

Well those objects alone are harmless or else you start using it to customize the pod (that needs specific procedure) and you need to customize it in wrong way to break profile, controller is just a decoration that don't effect anything ;] as they are act like normal object deleting wont effect profile at all, again only customizing pod is dangers, i don't know how the mention patch will effect them, but assuming that there lot of not aware what happens they probably won't make it destroy profile (i hope)

Oh okay thanks you but I'l probably Back Up my profile and wait for the patch and test what happens if you delete it on a different profile before I try anything, yeah I'm a little paranoid about this.
