How do I make something start on fire by a switch?

I need something to start on fire when I press a button. I noticed this in one of the story levels. Please tell me how to do it. Thanks

Down near the bottom of your tools, next to the destroyer, there is a tool that will set things on fire, electric etc. Can't remember it's name right now.

You just put that on and wire a switch to it.

There's actually a tutorial about this built into the game. I suggest doing it, it's pretty good.
