Oh hai! I've just published "Sackro Machines Championship", my homage to the awesome Micro Machines games of yesteryear!
If anyone played my Sackro Machines level in the beta, then it's basically a new version of that but with a hub level (where you select your tracks) and brand new circuits to race on. So far there's only one track, "Cabbage Patch Skids" which has you racing around a greenhouse... it's a pretty easy track to start things off. I'm hoping to get the time to keep building new tracks to add (depending on how popular it is).
I've been improving the way the racing works, so it should be miles better than the beta version. Please give it a go, and have fun!
Here's some delicious screenshots:
P.S. Don't be scared of Pericles... he wouldn't hurt a fly, promise
Track Listing:
#1. 01/02/11: Cabbage Patch Skids (Greenhouse)
#2. 12/02/11: Cereal Drama (Breakfast Table)
#3. July 2011: Fatal Attraction (Science Lab)

Yay! This looks fantastic. Loved in the beta and from the pictures this looks even better. Great idea making a hub for all the tracks too. Got this queued up and I'll be sure to give it a play (or 20) later tonight.

Great level sir. Love levels that don't take themselves too seriously. Looking forward to more tracks!
Also, I'm positive I know your user name from somewhere. Probably from LBP1, but none of the levels sound familiar...I dunno lol.

If it is half as good as your veta levels, it'll be great

Heh yeah, i'm Impossible quiz guy...
..anyways! Does the level link to the Greenhouse track seem to be working ok for everyone? I've used it in multiplayer a couple of times where the other person has been booted out of the game at the other end... just could be a coincidence though. Hmmm

Yeah, I had that problem once. Wouldn't let me invite them back in (for some reason I got a message saying the level had overhearted so other players couldn't join?) Restarted though and it was fine.
Anyway! Loved both levels, and I really can't wait to see more.
It's nothing too complicated or mindblowing but I like the simple games where you cna just have fun, and that's exactly what this is. A few points of feedback though:
- I think it would be better if the Greenhouse track was a normal level rather than a sub level. That way everyone will know when you've published a new track, bypass the hub level if they want to select a track quicker, and restart the same track multiple times nice and quickly. Still keep the links back to the hub level though.
- The level link to the Greenhouse track is in the radius of a magic mouth. Pericles talks about lasagne or something and you can only press triangle to go through the link whilst the mouth is open, else it will keep opening the mouth. A small annoyance that could easily be fixed.
- The track itself, whilst very good, could do with a little more warnings. The sharp bend after the first downwards section is quite sudden and unexpected, and I also kept crashing into the hose pipe near the end. Some arrows or something would be great so you know when to get ready for a corner and/or obstacles.
Other than that, great stuff!

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated!
I see what you're saying about publishing the tracks as normal levels. The original idea i had was, you choose tracks from the hub, race on them, then carry your points back to the hub so you can race on another track etc... until you've had enough. Then you stand on the scoreboard and see the overall winner. Unfortunately, points don't carry over to normal levels, which is a pain.
I fixed Pericles' speech getting in the way of the link, and I added a few warning symbols and arrows on the tight corner and hose bit. (It's easy to forget that other players don't know the layout as well as me
)
Heh yeah it's meant to spray you off course if you drive through the wrong part

Loved the sequel to the beta level. Its unfortunate there is a hub level, the best thing that made me keep replaying Sackro 2 was that i was spawned right into the race track. ready to race my friends.

Just played it yesterday.
First I was a bit confused. One speech bubble to the other popped out and to my stupidity I clicked the right away. Then I didn't really know what I had to do: "Do I have to enter the Level Link?"
YES! I had to! I came in and knew this will be a lot of fun.
It looked great and the track was really well made.
What I didn't like is the camera position. You've got a great view up and on the left and on the right. But as soon as you drive down you have to have reactions in about 0,3 seconds. And I think it's more luck if you get through there without crashing than skills.
My suggestion: Trying to change the camera a bit for a better view to the bottom.
Or didn't I notice that you can change the camera with a button? If not, I would put that in! (changing to a local space camera by pressing a button)
To sum it up; I gave it a 'Yay'. Its fun to play anyway!

Would be really glad for a little feedback!
