Firstly, didn't Luos_83/Luos_Desruc make that name combined with that theme?
He had a level called 'Frantic' in the BETA and it was a Space Shooter with ships 'n' all, and he'll probably make another since people really liked it
I'll queue it and leave you some feedback

Well, this isn't a copy so whatever.
Anyway, because of a couple of weird German who have apperently never played a Twin-stick shooter. All hope was lost for it. The link is now: http://lbp.me/v/wvvddk

So, did you get to play it?

Alright, just got done with this, and I must say. . . Great work. c:
+ Simple, yet effective. I found myself sucked in immediately with the fluid response from the controls. Not a single problem there.
+ Hectic firefights make for a good game. I was cornered numerous times yet prevailing to live another few seconds.
+ Excellent variety in bullets. Fluidly changing from straight shots to large, then to spread shots to suit the situation was awesome.
+ Music
- My only gripe, which you had already addressed, was the lives issue. I was getting revved up after scoring 60,000 points only to find I had one life and no second chances. Though, a minor downside at best when considering all the pluses.
To end, I give you a smiley, and also a heart. If you manage to make me forget I was playing LBP for even the slight second, and make me think I'm playing a shooter, you deserve my praise. c:

Good work.
I am having trouble thinking of any feedback that would improve this level. I guess I want more of it. Maybe include multiple stages in the menu.

I noticed last night that there is a LBP2 song called Frantic
I'll queue this one up and give it a go.

Hehe. I don't get it. I searched all over LBP for this name and didn't find anything. Then I publish it and they start appearing everywhere! Probably because they think my level is amazing
Anyway, I looked into the lives. Thing is, typical for me, I've managed to direct EVERY single cable in the level via the ship's controllinator and when I make it a transmitter and place it onto another object the whole level gets messed up!

Played a couple times - finished with score of 61332 #16. I'll definitely continue to push my way up the leader board.
Pro's:
The level's over design and concept was cool. It had a really cool 80's arcade vibe thing going on.
The game certainly provides an "I can do better" addictive behavior.
Con's:
Maybe it is just me, but I couldn't figure out the point of the weapons (maybe that's why I'm only #16 ... I mean, they all seem to be just as effective, with the triple beam being the strongest. Not sure the "benefits" of using the other two.
I really didn't care for the firing style. I think it is because I would like to be able to move without firing, or fire in a direction I am not moving toward. Again, this is just an opinion - and perhaps changing the way the firing was done would detract from the levels challenge ... I just know what would "feel" right to me.
The level could be improved with some "shields" or "power-ups" - but not required for a fun good time.
The name ... It has just such and 80's arcade feel to it - frantic just doesn't do it just ... needs something more like "Rotocon" or something.
If you get the chance, please take a journey through my F4F level - details in sig.PSN: JaydeTiger
F4F: The Kryptonite Mines of Gammatron VII (lbp.me)
The Sack Starfighter: Exodus of Gammatron VII

So about the weapons, I believe you're pretty alone in this actually, most people say they use all three. Also, I always use the rapid fire and big shot thingey, so it's mostly preference.
The rapid fire allows for more accurate aiming (specifically for the small enemies)
Big beam thingey is useful to hit multiple enemies at once (there is a massive aim assist for it)
As for powerups and shields, just like with lives, it will probably mess up the level (makes it too easy). However, I'm already working on lives so I might as well chuck in powerups
Oh last of all, I believe Frantic fits just fine

It's a good level but seems just way to short for my tastes of a shooter game. Clockworx2 is good being short if you screw up I prefer these types of levels to last a while, but it shows off a lot of stuff in that short period of time. to keep it interesting. I also believe the walls are a tad bit to bright.
-

I will look into the walls. I was already looking into lives (in other words making it longer)
-

Alright. After Luos asked me I quickly (sort of) added multiplayer. Yet again I have looked into the lives. Now, this is the definitive answer, it won't happen. It absolutely ruins the experience. Not only does it take away the survival part of the level, it also makes it a bit too long. Trust me, you don't want to play the level longer than a couple minutes.
