Hey, seems not many knew about this when I told them so I may as well pop this here. If you attach an animated decoration to an animated material(holographic can be made invisible), if you tweak the animated materials animation speed it will effect the decorations speed.
Short and sweet
Decorations I found to be effected were:
Accessories:
Digital watch face
Electrical filament
Characters:
Meanie arm
Meanie eye
Meanie eye on stalk
Meanie horn - curved
Meanie horn - straight
Meanie teeth
Meanie tongue
Meanie wing
Sackbot alarmed screen
Sackbot heart screen
Sackbot sleepy screen
Sackbot winking screen
Food:
Spinning spiral

Yay, you found it out!

Still doesn't explain that spinning wheel in "The Cakeinator" because THAT'S not an animated material... Is it?
But yeah, I knew it'd have to be something that you can do with holo, because all of the lollipops on that level have something invisible behind them.

You can also change color of certain light decorations.

LittleBigDave and I spent a little time going back and forth about this effect in this thread; light-emitting objects will change their colour, animation speed AND brightness to match that of the material they're placed on. Interesting find in terms of animation speed of the meanie parts/etc.; I tried changing the colour of a meanie part in my experiments, but it did nothing so I assumed they would remain unaffected completely by other materials.
Also, resizing the "light-stick" decoration AFTER it's been placed on a material (as opposed to when placing it) will only change its circle radius, but not affect its height even slightly.Peace,
JDT.
