Here's your playthrough review!
Initial Thoughts
Oooh Pretty! I saw the detail in your post and leapt at this one! The idea of a hubworld is a great one - and the music is beautiful, although ever so slightly repetitive!
When the camera pans out to show the various areas, the lighting is a little fuzzy due to the camera ditsance. Why not try tweaking the colour correction to make the details look a little sharper? You could always put it on some logic so that it reverts to normal when the camera resets. However, the area map icons are lovely, nice detail and nice art style throughout.
Really nice use of the waterfall material - it looked natural, you know?
Note regarding previous, after jumping on the cannon button twice, I've noticed the level lighting does change over time!
Lovely design on the airship! I don't know how you plan for this level to evolve over time, but I might suggets having the seperate level link a little closer together, as I got a little bit lost *blush* trying to find the first
The Forgotten Mines!
I adore your art style! Lovely crisp lines and looks like an impressive layout for platforming. The only one gripe I have is how . . .well . . clean everything is. Isn't this a mine? Some grubbiness on the walls would help break up the textures!
The idea of grappling the ship itself to get through the level is really nice. To make it feel more fluid I'd suggest tinkering with the follower (If it is a follower. . .) on the ship - I would have liked it to be a bit more sensitive, and a little speedier. It felt rather static, and I had to run ahead of it a lot to get it to move. This was fine, it didn't kill the level or anything, but if it moved a little more ahead of me then it would feel a lot more fluid. It seems like it stops moving whenever I grapple on to it, and to be honest I'd really like it to keep moving, at least a little bit.
Overall though, really stunning
Part 2
Again, lovely art style - a little more darkness and artificial illumination would help add to the atmosphere!
Not much to comment on here. The platforming is tight, and challenging enough without being impossible. Camera angles could be a little tighter at times, but overall lots of fun to play!

I'd appreciate any comments you have on my movie, The Printz Diaries (Prologue). F4F Thread

Overworld - I originally wanted to have the Islands farther apart and more of a map style that you could explore to find the different locations, However thermo wouldn't allow.
I moved the islands as close to the main island as I could without getting the area complexity issue. (darn my tendency to over detail areas)
The Forgotten Mines -
PART 1 --- The movement of the ship was really tricky. I set the ship itself up to follow you slowly so that it is possible (in some places intended) that you would outrun the ship and let it catch up. As for the ship stopping when you grapple it, this one done for 2 reasons. 1 to make swinging from it easier so that you are not fighting against the movement to gain momentum and 2 to keep you from being able to just hang from the ship to progress the entire level. (in my play tests with any movement while holding on it becomes easily possible to do so)
Part 2 --- I would love to be able to put in more artificial lighting to give it more of a mood, but with the waterfall material combined with the lightning, adding more lights or increasing the radius of existing ones lags it pretty bad. If you or anyone else has any suggestions on how to solve this I would love to hear them.LBP1 lvls

Hey; this series isn't complete yet. I suggest this being moved to the ideas and projects section.

The 1st level in this series is completed. The world map will simply have more level links added to it as the other levels finish.
All the levels are designed to be able to be played as individual levels or in sequence.
It is no different then adding a sequel level to a "already finished level".LBP1 lvls

Very good level. It has some extrodinary visuals and fun gameplay.
VISUALS:
The floating islands are really good in the intro level, and the architectures are well made. Also in part 1, it's really awesome to use the stardust material as an snow effect. Part 2 has cool lighting too.
SOUND:
Very good custom musics.
GAMEPLAY:
Part 1 has an very interesting idea of using the grappling hook at the ship. Part 2 has more good use of the grappling hook gameplay. I forgot what else to say about part 2, but everything in that level is a blast.
OVERALL:
An very artistic level with good story and gameplay. A yeah vote and a heart.

really cool! The over world is brilliant and makes you feel like you are part of the level's universe when you travel between different worlds.
The detail is amazing and the epic size of everything in the over world and in part 1 is impressive. It will be an awesome series of levels when fully complete I am sure. great job!
