The thing about my reviews is i don't just review your level and say yey or boo, i try hard to give advice and i ill admit if i don't have any helpfull advice, this is sometimes why it takes a day or two to review if it does take that long, im just trying to find a way to help...or real life gets in the way

but generally i try to review a level and post in the same day you ask for it ^_^

Please don't read Nit and Gritty review if you don't want me to be too critical the Nice guy review covers all basics, Nit and Gritty review covers EVERY Detail and sometimes advice on how to fix...and please don't hate me O_O

okay i have a nice guy review and a nit a gritty one...
Nice guy review: It's overall preety good, your storyline is fine but your cameras work way too fast. I'm a speed reader and i kept up with only 80% of the things. When people play a level they want to indulge in this new world you create. Platforming wasn't too hard although that one lift where you enter through the tiny knick in the platform is a bit hard to get onto and will fustrate people aswell as the tree in the forest, the wench could use a bit more hieght. Also rewind to get rid of invisible flooring that's what i did it has happened to me before. Decorations are really needed in your place. Everything needs to be fully connected by material, becuase most of the level looks weird becuase of the 2 seperate materials making up one roof. Also give the forest some decorations please

Nit and Gritty Review: Here is a bit tough review don't read if your satisfied with above review.

Your archers, are random. Also they aren't visually appealing. What you could do is add sackbots, and make them monkeys so that they FIT with the theme, You can hook up an emitter to the microchip so that it still shoots arrows. Also Every level has a do not do... one of the biggest is we don't want to see the floor. It really is a bad visual effect. Your town shouldn't be stickered up, although i don't know what the thermometer % is like so i can't really comment on that too much. The Movies can be worked with player sensors rather then the movie camera itself so that you don't need to kill me at the cutscene at the end, just drag the camera angle to the point your movie is showing at it will work just fine, at the end of the movie hook the output to a game ender tool so that i don't need to die i just get sent to the end. The animals and cages didn't explode and there are some cameras which show the floor aswell as yourself, this is bad visual.
Also the forest looks soo... plain adding decorations where there is foresty areas adds effect and sells your story. The caves are bland, decorations will help that. Monkey shooting fire logs at the end should run from me rather then just stand there and look mad. That adds effect. The entire level looked chopped up because instead of corner editor you used a whole new piece of material. WE see the divides and we shouldn't, add a piece in the gaps so that it looks more like a cave then a rock glued together.

So overall 7/10
Pros- Intresting storyline
- good platforming
- Good idea
- Good theme

Cons- Not so great visual
- Flooring is seen
- Detail needed (like decorations)
- some parts looked a bit rushed...
- Walls cieling and floor look chopped up
- Cameras way too fast so not all of storyline can be retrieved by audience that are slower
- Camera work in general could use a bit more attention

Nice guy review:
You need music, i understand it's a demo or test but you need music
Your visuals are overall good, you get the gist of it. You could add more but then again the only time you should'nt add more is if it's satisfying or your thermometor is full... The blank walls bothered me, if this was a level i'd expect sackbots running around as silloettes (can't spell that) in the back ground ocassionally. INSTRUCTIONS ARE YOUR FRIEND! Otherwise you walk around aimlessly and people won't like your level cuase they don't get it....

Nit and gritty Review:
Not much here considering it's a demo but...
Music really killed the experience bro... it was so blank and empty on my screens i was a bit ready to give up on it. We need music, sound effects and a tad more visual on the blank walls. No walls should be blank unless that is the SPECIFIC point... and even then it shouldn't be COMPLETELY blank...Instructions are your hurt factor here, we need intructions otherwise i'm sure people didn't bother to finish your level becuase they had no idea what to do... as i did when i started but i pushed forward and tried to figure it out. Look at other demos and get an idea of what should be done.

Overall DEMO REVIEW : 6/10
Pros= -Established mechanics
- Works
- Visual effort applied

Cons= -No music
- No instructions
- some blank walls
-flooring visual at one point
- it's a demo O___O XD

thanks man your non nice guy review was the best feedback i have ever got. I am not much of a creator yet and love knowing what was lacking. now to actually turn it into a proper level. thanks again.

The big thing that really covers a multitude of your complaints is the fact that this level was a port from LBP1, before they were movie cameras and sackbots. Plus, I couldn't do anything about the invisible floor since it was saved, lol. As for everything looking like it was glued together, that's because the shape(s) got too complicated, so I could not corner edit them. It would also not let me cut away at them for some reason.

Anyway, regardless, I needed to hear the bad things about this level so that I can make it better, so I'm grateful for this.

Okay so now i know that my nit and gritty review are better and sorry scholarship i thought it was LBP2 and i completly understand about the complicated. That gets very annoying. and by the way i meant just place a decoration and rewind. the floors should appear again... as for the third level i will get to that soon just bare with me tonight got very busy XD i try to post reviews within the same day requested

I agree, mainly because if people really want the news when they ask for the review, they will want it without any bias of kindness. Your review of my level for example.
I hadn't really thought of it as a realized concept. I know it is far below my vision and just a tiny seed. I actually thought you might be harsher on me for it, but took a risk requesting a review for my little demo, I wanted/needed an outside take to then spend the many hours creating the polished levels more fruitfully. Your bluntness on some points were vital, because in the end I do want what is in my mind to connect to some other mind out there (LBP is magic) but first I need to learn how.

Nice Guy review: Your level is... amazing... O_O

Nit and Gritty Review:... Your level is amazing O_O i do think that visible music boxes are my pet peave but you decorated around it so it isn't so bad but generally music boxes interrupt the visual of the level, your water slide needs a bit more touch to make the water slide believeable i suggest maybe spewing some water through and emitter, but that costs thermo so i don't know if it's at all possible. Also i might suggest you put a scoreboard at each level and the sackbot saying
"Help us out at the factory, or you can prepare for the journey and end here" so that people don't feel forced into playing all the parts. The camera when you smash into the machine needs a touch up aswell. Its transition isn't very flowing its noticeable and makes you go huh? oh right i crashed... But seriously...

Your level without a doubt should be in MM pick... it really really is awesome...

Overall score": 9.8/10... really really nice

Pros -Awesome visuals
- Believable storyline
- Detail is very good
- Platforming is not easy but not fustrating, very balanced
- Good story development and Eco friendly
- Camera work is balanced

Cons - Camera work at last part could use a touch up, transition is a bit... strange... something isn't right
- Waterslide could use a touch up

I have been thinking about making each level separate, but it would sort of mess up the contest as the amount of hearts in each level would be spread out.
I'm trying to get the most hearts possible to stay in the top ten as a finalist. I think I might already be number 4, so making them not sublevel might not be such a bad idea anymore. I think I may do that. Yeah, I'll do it tomorrow.
It might take a bit of work putting a scoreboard area in each one but at this point it's for the better.
I can work on those cameras, too although it'll be tough to work with the current messy logic since I'm sacrificing a little smoothness for weird teleportation behind-the-scenes stuff.
