Yo Howdy you all~
Hey does anybody here remember my beta level (Forgotten tower of White dimension)??
Well I’m taking a break from working on the story for my level series,
( I just can’t seem to get in the mood to write right now) So I’m gonna go ahead and
make a new version of my beta level. But made for better with far more stuff~
I’m going to make it a lot bigger and make it somewhat like tower of whoop, but am thinking
of other things too like hidden mini games (hopefully better then in my first tower’s mini game)
And more spooky ghost like characters, more and better puzzles and maybe a Boss?
Yeah I’m not so sure about a boss too. The first level just had FF7 music but I may make my own music
This time… I’m not sure, not like I ever done music much before…
I may do a town in the level too.... like i said the level will be much more big then the first.
So I'm going to be thinking up a lot of fun ideas if i can.
So what do you guys think? I’d like some ideas that be fun for the level.
So toss me any ideas you'd think fit good with the level, and feel free to ask away~ *mew

Hey Fumetsusozo, I remember playing your level in beta. Had a cool look (I'm a sucker for carboard-worlds ;-) and some really nice obstacles. Also liked the little fellows you could catch.
You should do a remake, and include a town: that would be very cool.

yeah it'll be done after the general idea of the first one, but will be lot better and far longer of a level.
umhm I'll for sure have more people you can grab for points.
in the end the level will be far different then the first xD
and yes I'll make sure to bring back the exploding boxes plus hopefully more fun stuff.

Neh no one will be able to create with me very much as i create offline
plus i don't know what I'm going to do with the music or not yet.
I'll try to see if i can make it my self first, just because trying out new things is fun.
but if I'm no good at it i most likely just get music from a level, minds well as
that's why they made the music levels to start with. but i really don't know yet.
this is just a fun project for me, i don't really need helpers for this one.

PS: i may change my mind by the time i get to the music.
i normally add music and sounds last when making a level.

I never had the beta, but this sounds and look very ineresting. Seeing as this is going to be a major overhaul, I think some cool multiple path sections would be nice. I love the moving platforms you had in the beta, those could be built on and made into a sort of unstable platform challenge. Some cool lighting effects like crossing multiple spotlights would be pretty neat. Also rotating sponges might be cool, don't know if they would fit the scenery buy hey it's your choice
Maybe have a section where you climb a slowly crumbling building? I like where you are going witht this project looking forward to it

multiple path sections? sounds good I'll try to add that.
moving platforms? yes there will be lots, just in case you did not notice
the whole building moved left to right slowly, I'll be putting that to more use far as game play goes this time.
crossing multiple spotlights? hmm not bad I'll have to think how that fit in the level
but sounds fun anywho.
rotating sponges? I'm not sure on this one. i may or i may not,
depends on if i think of a good idea for it or not.
crumbling building? oh yes that's a cool idea I'll try to fit that in for sure~
also as I'm sure you saw in the first level i put the background fog on a sequencer
so it'd slower go in and out, was a fun trick making the user have to stop for a bit here and there
in order to see where he is going good. *mew

Well I'm not sure if this level will have a story... the only people there are like ghosts...oooo la la a blast from the past it seems...loved that level...can't wait to see it remade again (maybe with a story series like that PSP game with the tower to heaven)

something other worldly... so i plan on them Not talking. but far as a story... i may..I'm not sure yet.
honestly it feels like last week to me i made the last tower level...
anyone should know i have a horrible sense of time, a year feels like a month to me, ETC.... :S
yeah my problem with my story for my series is not so much it's not made....
it's that i have trouble wanting to write it down.... i get lazy and just read on this forum all day
and then watch shows on the PC... Yohooho~ i have low energy when it comes to any kind of creating...
i have the skill, i can create good, but it's waste-ed a lot because i always feel worn-out...
i try to force my self to create in order to over-come it,
but it's hard with the feeling of always wanting to go sleep when i start to work on something lol.
but anyways I'll be doing my best to try to get this level here made and done.
helps that i posted it means people will be looking forward to it.
helps gives me move motivation.

PS: Well if you really want to help with my level series's story you can, just know a lot of the story is already made
it's just trapped in my head, and you'd be helping me get it out and talking to me about things that'll also help me
remember some small details i've forget-en over time, plus help me put different story parts together,
as a lot of the story is loose concept parts... anyways i find it's always good to have someone to bounce ideas with.
so if your really interested go ahead and ask.

But yea message me the story since ill need that to work with, ill also need to know the goal of your story, the ending, etc. So include those in the message and ill work on it with you
As for this you could do the story jump_button style where in his based on ico series showed cave drawings to tell the story and such so you could do something similar

i kno you said ya'll didn't need any help but i can still make suggestions (...).
-the crumbling tower sounds epic, maybe have parts falling away at various times? or maybe even an entire new part of the game, with say a menu, you can choose between just playing the normal game and racing your friends to the top whilst the game around you crumbles and obliterates.
-Multiple path sections will add a lot of replay-eyness (...) to the game make the players want to play it again and again, maybe even opening to different parts of the story or unknown parts of the tower, building, haunted house, kitten rescue facility (...)
-Making the game a versus will be... different. but also a new experience, maybe offering rewards to the players that find the most secret rooms etc?
