Anonymous hacking group are targeting Sony sites PSN

Howcome hackers have to be so greedy? If they want to hack an offline game for a different experience in an offline game so it won't affect others or give them an added advantage over others online, then isn't that okay? But when it comes to hackers hacking into PSN, and online games cheating, its an unfair advantage, it just ruins things for others.

I'm actually okay with hackers reverse engineering the consoles. You can learn a LOT from it, and the hacks online are usually fun (others are annoying however). When Sony decided to sue the original hackers, I didn't care much about it. After all, what's so wrong with protecting your OWN product?

This attack however is nothing to be supportive of. By doing this, Sony will counteract with something, thus provoking Anonymous even more. So it's not even a "war" of who's right anymore; it's about the stupidity of two groups (Sony and Anonymous) who'll stop at nothing to be the victor.

I think you're the one going about it the wrong way though, unXpectiD. Because you see, Cyber is completely right. This doesn't resemble a fight for rights anymore. It's more reminiscent, instead, of modern-world politics, where neither side is right, nor do they aim to be. Rather, it's just a petty playground game, chock full of senseless loyalism and stubbornness, to see who wins. It's like in the Russian or Chinese revolutions, where they say, "Oh, oh, we're the oppressed~ , we need to rise up~, even if it does mean we might get a bit screwed over in the end" and then you find out that -GASP!- the revolutionaries are just as moronic as the idiots they set out to replace. Fight for your darned rights, I don't give a flying rat's behind, but don't sacrifice MY rights - the right to play with friends, the right to enjoy my property - to do so. Because when you rescind my rights, you become no better than the enemies you seek to damage.

From my understanding, you (swweet), B3, and unXpectiD are favoring the Anonymous because of Sony's suing (unXpectiD is only favoring because he's an ex-Anon). I find that logic BS, because Anonymous is putting Sony employees at risk of losing their jobs by pulling this crap, because Sony's losing profit trying to fix this problem (and the case they might lose will make it worse). Sony has the right to sue for their own console. They did say in their Terms of Service (cannot access the site to get link) that you may not hack the PS3 for any online advantage or piracy, something the hackers are doing now.

IMO, you guys are just siding with Anons because you don't care. Fine by me, everybody has an opinion. But bragging about it like you were apart of it just makes you guys look like jerks.

And yes, this argument will probably get the thread locked. But I don't care. It deserves to be locked.

He was begging for $$$ a while back, supposedly for lawyers if I'm not mistaken, what did he do with it?
That same money was used for his "Vacation" in the south, so...yeah, not really something a so called "hero of hackers" would do, now is it?

That was the first link I found. It's all over the place. Of course the guy is gunna deny it's his, but considering this, it's unlikely.
