It's a menu containing all the goodies, tools, stickers and decorations you used until now (in the level you're currently creating). It works just like the other menus: you can go there and choose what to summon, the only difference is that it has only the stuff currently existing in your level. Whenever you want to spare thermo and not use a new material or object, you just go into this menu and look for something you already used most closely resembling your needs. It's also easier and faster to look for something since there aren't as many items as in the other menus.

It serves as a kind of "shortcut menu", basically. Let's say you want to make an object in that kind of wood you used 10 minutes ago. Thing is, even with the collapsable categories of LBP2's inventory there's a gigantic section full of various kinds of wood confusing you and making you waste like half a minute to find the right one. Instead you just go into the "Personal" section (known as the "star menu"), spot the wood you were looking for among the dozen or so other materials in use, and vķilā.

Oh yeah. I never need it. I know where everything is or what i've used in my level.
I always keep my popit very organized. But I suppose I see why other people may find A use for it.

    Edit:
I think you misunderstood me. I know what it does and whats it for.
I just never found it useful myself. I was asking what he uses it for.
Guess i kinda knew all a long what he most use it for. Dono why I asked that.

Well I don't know about you but I'm easily distracted. When I waste too much searching for an object or material I become unfocused with all the items in the inventory. A random item catches my eye and I start wondering "maybe I could do X with Y or A with B?" and I just forget what was the thing I really needed until it crosses my mind again. And that's why the last time I started making a level I began by picking materials, deco and a few objects that go with the theme of my level and that I'll surely use, put them all in a remote corner and have them ready on my "Personal" menu for easy access.

Everybody has different methods of creating, I guess. I'm not surprised Luos uses this menu as his levels always have a lot of elements in them.

To be honest I try to do that on purpose. I never know 100% for sure what I want to include in my level.
so I want to always leave all possibilities open. I always hate to think I messed up by limiting myself at all.

That explains why I didn't notice. I rarely use the same self-made object. But then again, I'm still on my first level. Anyway, I hope MM fixes it soon.

LBP is acting weird since 1.06 came out. And I mean even before I updated (I played it without updating for a while). The menus take long to load, specially in create mode, the music is lagging and everytime I exit the game it forces me to restart the PS3. Not angry, but worried.

All that has been happening to me a few times even before 1.06. Not constantly, but sometimes. Sometimes the music gets stuck in a constant, highly frequent loop for a few seconds. It worries me too. Maybe MM has made the game more prone to lag over time? If there's something I definitely miss from LBP1 is the lack of lag. And I don't know who's to blame: MM's optimization or the PS3's ridiculously outdated RAM and processing capacity. Or both.

The 1.06 Patch is bonkers on my LBP2. I can't see my hearted objects. I even tried pressing R1 & L1. Nothing. I have to manually search for them in my objects/stickers. Personal Stuff section is filled with nothing. Gets me frustrated.
