Yeah, that seems to be the general reaction to the price...
Imagine filling that thing with frozen paintballs.
The prison sentence would be totally worth it.

Well, I like Airsoft better because there's no gear to slow you down. Like I said before, I like the guerrilla style warfare than the strict "rules and safety armor" type. The reason I like Paintballing more is because there are tons of places you can go every weekend for paintballing. They sell you gear, ammo, even paint grenades, snipers, smgs, shotguns, and they have different "maps" essentially. I know this one place here in California where once a month on Saturdays they have a Helicopter that brings the players into the map. It's so sick, costs a lot but it's awesome.
Besides, I think it depends on how you play it. I play it with 16-24 people, and we play either "normal" (one side attacks while the other defends a position), or Hostage (the other side tries to take back their hostage back first). And we play in a VERY large wooden area with riverbanks and our self-made trenches. So yeah, a paintball gun isn't necessarily going to hit as well as an Airsoft gun.

Again, you don't need a suit of metal armor to play paintball, just a mask, if that holds you back then I pity you lol. As for "strict" rules...uhm...you get shot, your out. It seems like your thinking of something completely different when you think of paint ball :P As for that last sentence, I can in no way make the connection between your battle parameters and paint ball guns not working as well in them. Paint balls are faster, more accurate, and less affected by wind. Best of all you cannot contest whether or not you were hit with one XDWell, I like Airsoft better because there's no gear to slow you down. I agree with the bolded text, but as for accuracy, I think that's a bit biased. I owned paintball gun, and I played for a while. But then I got an airsoft gun and I sold the paintball gun because I liked Airsoft better. The paintball gun is only accurate when you have it on a high air pressure, while airsoft guns use either springs, batteries (electric guns), or CO2/green gas. I prefer the electrics and CO2 better, because they deliver more accuracy at a far better range than a paintball gun.Again, you don't need a suit of metal armor to play paintball, just a mask, if that holds you back then I pity you lol. Besides, only an idiot in airsoft won't call their hit when an entire team of players are shooting you with 450-500 FPS bbs.

I have played in both an airsoft war and paintball war, and I have to say that I love paintball much more.
Airsoft is much cheaper and affordable, but paintball lasts longer memory wise, and is much more energetic and fun!
