    Default Math Millionaire Quiz

    Level: Math Millionaire Quiz
    PSN: ara_que
    Type: race + quiz level
    Location: Spain
Description: This level is an upgrade of my last LBP1 level "Math Falling Quiz", but this time there are new questions and changes thanks to LBP2 -> Are you smarter than a 5th Sackboy grader? xD This is an exam with 10 stages: each one has 2 random questions with 2 random answers:
    • Just sit and push the correct button to answer (triangle / square / circle / cross).
    • Up to 4 players: anyone can answer + the points are common for all.
    • All answer buttons are random and you won't know which pair of symbols will appear each time!
    • The more time you take to answer, the more points you lose... and the amount increases along the stages. Be fast!

Feel free to play and leave your comments ^^ (and don't forget my other levels hehe)
    Thank you.

    Seems good. I tryed it.

Not much of a game and im not good at math. You could add special effects to the player that wins the points and players that lose.

Like Player gets Coins or Stars and Losers get a dumb on there face. XD

Also put it on Multplayer mode.

If you want to make it even better id put a randomizer that emites diffrent questions.

Anyway thats all the feedback I can give ya.

    - The game is cooperative, all the points go to everyone. I could make a special control for the points, but there were some problems with concurrency... And also this way I can finish the game whenever you fail :P
    - There is a randomizer yet. Each stage has 2 possible questions with 2 possible answers. And also the answer button always is random, it adds more difficulty to the game rather than putting more questions

I will keep this in mind. Anyway thanks for playing and for your feedback! ^^

just played this. defdinitely not your typical level but good job nonetheless.
one of the equations was a bit confusing in the sense that you did something like 4x3-2 you may need parentheses in there to make it clearer what you mean.

Oh, I forgot to give feedback here... I should keep a list somwhere

Anyway, back on the level. Well, it was well done, simple design and easy controls, the random questions/buttons avoid to learn the response sequence. It's been a long time I go to school and my abilty to do calculation in my head could have been better

I don't know if the level's subject will bring you a lot of play, but it's a descent level, didn't find any bugs. You could maybe improve the visuals and add effects, but the gameplay is ok as it is.

That's it, the basic rules apply and the multiply goes first

In fact there's music but I put it calm to not disturb the minds xD

I tested the level a lot, I hope nobody find any bugs! And you're right, the visuals may be the first thing to improve.

Well implemented quiz, that definitely got the cogs whirring in my head ;-)

Managed 23K points, not too bad. Got nothing wrong, but a couple took longer for me than they should've ;-) I like the random questions idea, I played it a couple of times and saw quite a few different questions.

Presentation was nice and clear, and the game was easy enough to follow. The green-spotlights and "ding" on a correct answer was a nice touch.

Not sure what I could suggest to improve it really.Perhaps the presentation could be improved a little, but I like how clean and clear things are, so you'd need to be careful to distract players if you did that.

Overall, I liked it a lot. It'd be cool to create few and link the together into a multi-round quiz, where the loser each round gets to choose the next topic.

Yeah! That's the point of the level hehehe Some questions are difficult even for me, the creator xDDD
The strange thing is that I can see your final points in the level. Don't know if it's an error... if I check the level in LBP.me I cannot see new points. Weird :/

And also I chose Maths because it's easier for the questions and the answers: they're just numbers and symbols, and not big questions with words. Anyway I'll keep everything in mind for the next time.

Thank you for your complete feedback!

Maths at its most funnist (if there is such a word). Maths is definitely not my strong point, hence I stumbled as soon as I got to the fractions x fractions question. There must be some serious logic going on it the background. You have catered for up to 4 players, and I think the more players the better for this level. My only suggestion would be to add a bit more eye candy around the edges, just to present it in a bit more visually pleasing manner.

I remember a while back Mm were looking for community levels that were they could use in schools as educational tools. This would be perfect for that sort of thing.
Well done. Smiley faced and hearted.

Hehehe I know, some questions are quite difficult (fractions question is weird even for me xD). And yes, there is a lot of logic... choose 2 random questions, choose the random answer buttons, control the users response... but I know quite about electronics :P

And what do you mean with "eye candy around the edges"? I used that interface to look as the TV Show, it's simple and I liked it.

    Thank you for your feedback!

It was actually quite cool, wasn't expecting that at all.

I was particularly impressed by the changing up of the questions because in my awesomeness I decided to retry in order to get a higher score and was caught out as I pressed the exact same answers as I did the first time, regardless of the question.

I'm quite embarrassed that 29^2 caught me out though, I put that down to exhaustion

(Don't know why i put the feedback for your level in my thread, but...)

Mr (miss? sorry, i'm not sure) Ara,

A very interesting quiz level, and to be honest, something that i'd wanted to do with Kanji, though never had the time, or tool set, for.

The only parts at (possible) issue that i could see were, (1) sometimes the decimal points were a bit hard to see, and (2) the player is just sitting the whole time. If there were anyway to work in just a little movement (maybe with grab switches? i don't know how you've set up your logic). Still, i thought it was cool, and i'll keep an eye out for your levels in the future.

Just played your level. Very unique, but a little boring. Honestly I wouldn't have played your level voluntarily. As cool as it is, and despite how much effort you put into it, I am not playing LBP to solve some math expressions. That said, the level played flawlessly and was designed just about perfectly. A few things that bothered me is that it was sort of a survival challenge, so if I missed an equation (which I did at first because I accidentally pressed the wrong button) I would immediately be sent to the scoreboard rather than lose points. Also I feel like the level would be more fun if it was a vs level rather than a cooperative. Racing to get the right answer first and competing for points would make the level phenomenally more fun.
