Hi happy sack folk,
Just wanted to showcase my new level, the logical wood.
It's basically pure platforming, the type I love the best made from types of wood.
I love the way gravity can control a level and what happens next when you push a button...
Hope you all like it.
I am more than happy to review anyone's levels as this is a F4F post.
Cheers.

Nice level dude. Although the platforming and cause/ effect of various mechanisms are at its heart, what really grabbed me was the smooth, clean, geometric visual interface.
Almost acts on a play on the title theme as if the woods had been logically concentrated into a logical construction of gameplay and the basic wooden shapes rather than an organic leafy wood. Good job dude.

Quite a pleasant experience! Platformer what it should be. The only criticism - the first cutscene is repeated each time when I jumped on a button. Other - logical flow of gameplay, nor too hard neither too easy. Excellent level! Hearted and yayed.
If you have 5 minutes, please play my versus level Mad house LBP.me

Overall a pretty good level.
Its got a nice clean look to it which I like but it also has enough decoration to stop it from being too plain.
The platforming was good and wasn't frustrating at any point.
The only downside for me was that it felt a little short.
Definitely worth playing
I'd like some feedback on my puzzle level if you get time.
Details are in my sig.

Hey flatbadger, glad you liked Emeria.
Great level here. The music and the materials were very well chosen. The platforming was clean and simple, as it should be. There was one point in the level (at the first ball on the winch that takes you straight up) where (at the bottom of the level) I jumped to the right and was in an empty area where i could keep running right for a reaally long time. You might want to block that off. Other than that minor hiccup I had a great time playing your level! Nice work!

I left a review on your level, but I'll add my thoughts here too:

The visual style for the entire level felt quite clean, as some of the other players have mentioned, so it wasn't too distracting from the gameplay. The obstacles themselves felt pretty straight forward and seeing as this level appeared to be reminiscent of classic platformers, I'd say you did a pretty good job at it!
However, there were some things I wanted to note: In addition to Sixaxes' findings, there was another point in the level where I could hop over to the left and end up backtracking above the obstacles themselves! It was around the area where you'd have to swing over a firepit, bounce up, and then use the bounce pad on the right wall to swing upward. Instead of using that bounce pad, I swung in the opposite direction towards the hexagonal hole and dropped onto the ledge further to the left. I noticed the little arrow, but you might want to block that off anyway.
You might also want to find a way to prevent the ball on the string from getting stuck on a higher ledge once you use the bounce pad on the wall (this is in the same area); it can force players to restart the level if they happen to mess up along the way. Anyway right after that area, I noticed that the cutscene would repeat itself over and over every time you walked into its sensor range. I don't think that camera's actually needed since the way to overcome the environment appeared to be self-explanatory, but if you want to keep it perhaps you can implement some sort of one-shot mechanism to prevent players from repeatedly viewing the same cutscene again? Overall, I thought the experience was enjoyable.
Now, you don't have to do this immediately, but would you go through any one of my levels in my signature? I'm actually looking for feedback on Ninjas of Karura, but you're free to play through and leave feedback on my other levels if you wish.
"To me, 'goodbye' means that I would never see you again. That's why I say 'see you later."
Looking for a world you could immerse yourself into?
Perhaps my levels can help you!

Pleased you liked it, I tried to just use natural materials and make it playable as opposed to annoying, which makes poeple wound up and they just give up...

Got your puzzle level queued for later...

I enjoyed the simple platforming and switches that moves objects around the most, that was a great way to use it. Also, I found some of the hidden spots where one can find hidden score bubbles. Some of the visuals were ok, though I did like how you added a very light and dark material together to make the wood stick out. One of the small issues I had was somewhere in the middle of the game, I would jump on a bounce pad and it would launch me in one of those inner layers with the lights. It took a few trys until it fully launched me to where I was suppost to go. Thats about it though, good job on the level and I hope you get more people to play.

This is a very nice platformer
The decoration was simple but I really liked it, the contrast between the light and dark woods looked great visually and the sprigs and branches hanging in the background were a nice touch too. The platforming elements were solid and the difficulty overall was perfect, although I think it could be a little bit longer. There were a few bugs but they were relatively minor and didn't really impede the gameplay all that much (Qrii_Nakari covered all the ones that I encountered). The last suggestion I have is to maybe change the music, it seemed odd to have scifi music in there and I think something from the savannah would be more fitting. Other than the level was great, and I look forward to playing more platformers from you

I liked it! It was like the sort of platforming game they would have had on 70s children's TV! Very mellow and quirky.
Please play my level Run Away!

Nice little level very charming platformer.
It definatley does look logical. Iwould suggest maybe some more plant decotations but onlyones that don't look too real. Maybe also some lighting effects and background sound effects as it seemed a bit empty in certain places.
One idea would be some kind of cog powered caterpillars or something like that craling around the back walls? Only an idea though.
Keep at it.

I tried to steer away from the sackbot thing this time and just have sackboy and the material around him.
cheers.

The Good:
-Good use of decoration to make vines and the flat planes for detail
-simple gameplay
The Bad:
-lacks game cameras
-Not as logical as I expected a level called "The Logical Wood" to be
-Seems like you ran out of clever ideas and decided..."here's a room with fire.. pull this switch..ok a giant piece of wood falls from the sky and now you can walk across it"
idk...me and the player i was playing with had to just laugh at that one for its over simplicity lol
