Is it the same sackboy?

In the story of LBP2 do you think the sackboy you play as is supposed to be the same sackboy from LBP1 or a completely different sackboy? I mean they always make him look exactly the same, but i'm not sure if the story sackboy is the same person or not.

The same indefinately. You play as him he represents you so whether YOU have changed person since the first and second thats a no.

My other theory is when the announcer in the beginning says how your sackboy is how you left it back in Lbp1.

Wouldn't it seem a little pointless to make two characters look exactly the same at default but call them separate? It's no different really to a character of any other franchise. Jak looks different in Jak 2 than Precursor Legacy, but it's the same character still.

If you import a profile the narrator says "Welcome back" and if not, just "Welcome," so I'm assuming if yo imported, yes its the same, if not, just a brand new one.

It is not the same person. LBP2 is set in a parelell universe atleast 48 years from LBP1. It's common knowledge that the ordinary Sackboys life-span is round 9 months. When man is most creative. After that Sackboy is sucked out through a dark passage and starts living his life on Earth. We have all been Sackboys, but only a few remember it. Those few people created MM studios and have been generous to let us remember the truth for some money. Anyways, CraftWorld is just a nice word for belly (or stomach if you prefer) and in the belly many things happen. This is a different sackboy, a reincarnated you.

but, i do believe the second game takes off as sackboy is strolling through england just after he defeated the collector, and hadn't quite built up the world popularity yet, and is unknown to da vinci and the gang. Because, has there ever been any amount of time where someone wasn't having some sort of evil imaginative stuffs somewhere in the world?

HERE IS MY THEORY! Ya 'know how Avalon looks like the same species as sackboy? Well, maybe the game is like 10 or 20 years in the future from LBP1, and Avalon was maybe the sackboy from that game. (before you ask, the currator creatures never bothered to ask sackboy for his name and just refer him to "sackboy", like Da Vinci calls the one in lbp2 "Sack thing"). In between games, Avalon probably got famous from beating the collector and let it all on his head. Avalon probably accepted Sackboy because it reminded him from him when he was that age. His contraptions were probably the things that he created in create mode from the first game. And the reason why Negativitron kidnapped Avalon is because he KNOWS that it was sackboy from the first game.

So yeah, that's my theory.

Interesting theory, hm. Here's another, continuing theory. First, Avalon (or should we just call him Sackboy now?) was supposed to be a villain. Probably because after he got famous he got a lot of power. Sackboy got nervous and always failed when he was doing nice things for the society, like fundraisers. He decied to become evil, which he stated was obviously much easier. He nearly destroyed the world, but was then put to a stop by the Alliance (who was formed to stop Avalon/A villain/Sackboy. He was put in th Asylum and there he saved chesthair and did some muscle-training. You know that Sackboy doesn't have a voice, right? In the Asylum he managed after a lot of work (whilst being rehab'd) grow a little squeeky voice. But as a world-savior (all the meanies inside him, who he created accidently, were destroyed and he did not remember that he nearly destroyed the world. No one in the world talks about it in fear of making Avalon remember it again, making him evil once more, that's why no one goes against him when he brags.) That's when Avalon got a voice-changer, allowing him to get a lot more heroic voice. It is his duty now to join the alliance in stopping what AValon as well as the others created (The negativitron).
