Post how much times you got corrupted, what happened, and what you lost.

My profile got corrupted two times, the first time i didnt have a back up, the second time I was able to get all my stuff back, but i have to get through all the story levels all over again.

First time I accidentally caused a glitch which deleted sackboy... Had to import from about 2 weeks earlier.
Second time, much more recently, my PS3 was frozen by a level which corrupted my profile. I 'only' lost 5 days of stuff.

When you deleted your sackboy, you could have tried backing up your profile and getting in it again wich will load a fresh new sackboy. Its how people fixed the void glitch, it might have worked for that.

I once played a level and it froze...

When I got back on my profile had been completely deleted. Fortunately I had a back-up that was only about a few months old.

I somehow turned sackboy into an object and deleted him permanently. It would freeze as soon as sackboy attempted to spawn in the pod, so the entire profile was inaccessible. Not even time to pause and import/ backup profile before the freeze

My story was like three, five days ago. I had just learned how to do the internal overlord glitch, and i placed a emitter on myself to emit a floating craft, like hazbell's, thing was that I forgot to put a exit button for the controller... So I got my friends and went to their moon, left, and id be back at my pod in the ship but using the pod computer and i didnt have a back up...

So then I go to my friends moon a day later, do overlord on him using a danger tweaker, his name is pyro so... you get it, and our other friends try to join but I was kicked (stuck on loading screen). So I restart the game and Poof, Im cured! Friend used a back-up on his after i left.

Also, Ive tried overlord since then but it doesnt work anymore... Maybe Im doing it worng...

Only a few weeks after release, levels on my moon would randomly disappear and reappear in different locations, replacing whatever was there before. I has a backup from 2 days before, but I made another just in case.

Went to moon, entered a level. A couple hours later tried to save, but meanwhile the level I was working on had gotten replaced by another, which seemed to have glitched the game, so I was stuck in the level. I could go to the "Save As" view, but couldn't save. Quit and then discovered LBP would no longer work.

No big loss, and hasn't happened since.

Here's a doozy:

Way back when, maybe about 2 months after LBP1's original release, I had finished LBP with 100% prize bubbles, and had aced all of the levels. So I tryed my hand in create mode. When I finished, I turned off my PS3 after safetly quitting LBP, and came back a day later. When I turned on my PS3 and popped in my LBP disc, I was shocked to find that instead of spawning in my pod, as players normally would, I had spawned in the introduction level. Being relatively new to the game, I had thought that I had just accidentally pressed something that had made me enter the Intro level. Boy, was I wrong. All of my file was obliterated, everything gone permanently. Impossible to retrieve a previous save. (Keep in mind, profile saving came as an updated later.) So I sucked it up and started again, taking 3 months to collect everything again. and at the exact same time, profile corrupted!

By now, as you could probobly tell, I was infuriated. I ended up quitting for 2 months, if my memory serves me, and coming back to collect everything again. Again, it was corrupted, and I took my game back, replacing it with another copy. There were no problems after this, ever. And my profiles safety is now almost rock solid with the backup profile feature available.

When I read the title I thougt this was about becoming evil and turning to the dark side. I was wrong, so in that case I've got nothing to report, luckily. I mean, my save file didn't get corrupted without a reason. But my PS3 died a few weeks ago and only due to sheer luck I had my file backed up.

I noticed the "back up profile" function in LBP2 when I was meddling with the settings. Just for the heck of it, I used that funcion and copied my file into a flash drive. Which was fortunate, or I'd now be hunting for all the bubbles in both games, again.

My profile got corrupted a long time ago while I was playing Sky Factory 2 with two other people. I had to import a week-old backup and lost a lot of progress on the level I was working on.

I've only ever had a corrupted profile once. I froze while joining a friend in LBP2. Fortunately, I'd made my first profile backup since my original one, 2 weeks after getting LBP1, 10 minutes earlier.
I think that's the luckiest case of close timing I've ever experienced.

Its not realy corruption, but I was actualy playing Call of Duty MW2 when my ps3 froze and turned off. I got the yellow light. I got it fixed, backed up on a flash drive. I forgot exactly what it said, but when i imported, it said that it wasnt mine. I had no idea at that time, so i started all over.I learned how easy it is to back up everything, so i do it often. It has not happend after that, and im ready if it ever does.

Let this thread be a reminder to everyone to back up, and save often. (trust me on how easy and fast it is)
