The only time i ''boo'' level is when:
-The level is offending someone.
-The level is copied,stolen,etc..
-The level is empty.
-The level only contain recorded sackbot singing gummy bear.
-The level is ridiculously hard, not because he wanted it to be like that but because he didn't put effort and i bet he didn't even test.
-It's called unnamed level, no logo, no description and it's bad with it. (if i dear play it)
-The creator take credit for something he didn't make.
I don't rate when:
The level don't contain any of these but i still didn't really like it i don't rate and sometime leave feedback to make it better.
The level is glitched, i can't go any further but the level was still good. I also report the bug to the creator.
I Yay it when:
The level i played isn't really my preference but was still well made.
The level glitched but still so far it was really amazing.
The level is awesome.
The level is on the level showcase here at lbpcentral.
It's my kind of level even tough it wasn't the best but still.
The creator put effort on it.
The level is beautiful .
The level give us free new cool glitch that doesn't affect the game.
I heart when:
The gameplay is unique.
The level is attractive and make me want to play a other time.
The level have epic visual, really good description, awesome story.
I say wow when i play it.
I just love it!
The level deserve a lot more play.
Get in the detail!

I boo a level when:
I dont like the level.
I yay a level when:
I like the level.
And thats the inner mechanisms of how I rate a level."Employees are not to disturb the creatures of the Preserve, unless they are extremely bored." -HyperionAs of now, I have 3 levels, all platformers. You can click their names to go to their page.Industrial Platforms - 6748 plays, 3833 yays, and 1777 hearts.Solstice - 2615 plays, 1523 yays, and 564 hearts.Melting Heat - 714 plays, 325 yays, and 177 hearts.

I like what I like. As should everyone. Generous rating makes for many bad levels appearing and staying on the front page.

I made this thread to get detailed description of how our lbpcentral user rate and not to get poor comments like that. ( I don't want to sound ugly but that's how it is )
Everyone is different, you definitively rate in a different way, share it with us with detail.Last edited by Sport_dude; 07-31-2011 at 10:19 PM.

Come on guys. You don't have to be so blunt. He obviously wants you to go into detail.

The only time i ''boo'' level is when:
It's copied, stolen, etc.
Little to no effort is put in it.
Low quality/garbage objects in a level.
When a level insults a person or if it's a rant on something trivial.
I don't rate when:
The level is good, but feels unpolished.
A glitch or something alike.
Good objects, but none I collected or wanted.
A test level or demonstration.
I Yay it when:
I laughed (in a good sense) when playing it.
It has a nice flow of game play.
I see effort.
The creator tried to be innovative.
I heart when:
I replay it (to enjoy it again).
I want another person to play it.
I laughed (video wise).
It affects my emotions.
That's how I review my levels.

I have never booed anything that doesn't contain "h4h" or "heart plz"
and I am pretty liberal with my yays, as long as it took time to make. I even yay when I didn't personally like the content, but can see that it took some effort on the creator's part.
Everything else gets no rating.
Everything I personally enjoyed more than the average level gets a heart.

Levels I refuse to play (because giving it plays is a form of feedback, and some levels don't even deserve that):
-Anything H4H related.
-A copied level.
-Levels that rely on hate psychology to get positive feedback (example: "Heart this if U hate Xbox" or something like that)
-Plain badge, unnamed levels
-Bomb/train/hotel/shark survivals
I boo when:
-It's one of those garbage levels that required less than an hour to make, for example when the creator just plonked down a few gadgets and enemies from the story mode.
-Pointless demo levels. Not all levels were we just test some contraption the creator built are bad, because sometimes he/she really need feedback on it... But there are those tons of demonstration levels that we feel were made just because the creator's too lazy to make a full level.
-Fake Glitch levels. Like those that are all like "hai, check dis awsum new glitch out" and turns out it's just objects breaking the laws of physics because of the lag.
-Untested levels.
-Levels without any kind of polishment. And by that I mean no decorations, no stickers, no sound effects, no objects, etc.
-Levels whose tasks require a finesse the gameplay doesn't have.
Levels that I leave with neutral feedback:
-Those that suffer from one of the aspects in the above category but also benefit from one of those in the category below. "Mixed quality" levels.
I yay a level when:
-It has an original concept
-It has charisma and a charm of his own, instead of just being a homage to another game or a generic-themed level
-The gameplay feels good
-Something until then unseen in LBP2
-It has a rich and coherent aesthetic style
-Feels dynamic and lifelike
I heart a level when:
-It combines all (or almost all) of the aspects described in the above category.Last edited by SnipySev; 07-31-2011 at 03:56 AM.
Play my level: The Abandoned Mine. Have fun!

I boo a level if:
-It's sloppy
-It's a spam
-It's unoriginal and overused
-It's extremely boring
-It involves singing sackbots
-It has "BOMB" or "SURVIVAL" in all caps and still stinks
-It has poor (almost unreadable) grammar
-If the whole level is a scoreboard
-If the whole level is a scoreboard with lights
-If it's a "Funny Film" that isn't funny whatsoever
-If it's just a horrible film level
-If it's just a horrible level in general
-If the creator got all if his/her friends that they randomly added off of PSN that they don't know at all to rate their horrible stinky level up to the cool pages
-If it's a boring prize level that has no theme or heart
-If it's a "glitch" that is only used to attract attention
-If it has "H4H" or usually two letters with a 4 in between (besides F4F)
-It's blank
-It contains nothing but a couple of blobs and another blob attached to a thruster
-It is obvious that it took less than 5 minutes to make it
-It says something weird like: "EMO/SCENE COSTUMES" (I don't really like those, btw)
I don't rate a level if:
-It's not too great, but not too shabby
-It's a bomb survival that's actually decent (a sight never seen in LBP)
-If it's unoriginal but actually a good remake/ parody
-If it's fun but extremely difficult at the same time
-If it's a good idea, but a not so good level (and vice-versa)
I like a level if:
-It's fun
-It's not too difficult
-It's a new idea
-It's bright
-It uses correct (readable) grammar
-It has a great scenery
-It has great platforming/racing/action etc.
-It has a clear path to the objective
-It isn't completely pointless
-It isn't a remake of an internet meme
-The majority of the level contains only the creator's ideas/work/items
I heart a level if:
-It's amazing
-It has incredible visuals
-I learn something I didn't know about LBP before
-The creator uses a technique that not many others use
-If it isn't boring and too dark of a level
-If the plot (if one exists) isn't too cheesy
-The creator takes full advantage of the tools of LBP1 or 2
There you have it
I like hats

My yay/boo rating isn't too special but I do have a rule when I heart players. You either have to have 2 levels that I've liked/loved and hearted or you have to have one level I've liked/loved and hearted, and be a pretty cool person to create/play/chat with.
I make signatures, so if you want one, just ask. Please provide me with an image of
your choice and an a colour tone. I'm think I'm best at animal based Sigs and Avis.

(Massive comment, spoken from the Heart.)
I don't Boo anymore.
If a level is bad, I just leave without finishing it. It's all the reference I need in the future, the little silver Sackboy symbol that says I gave up on it without leaving a comment, Yay, Heart or Review. I mean aren't all those things enough already? Do we also need a Screw You Boo vote?
I generally don't like the "downvoting" that goes on in social networks. Someone who is behaving like a donkey should be ignored or Good Griefed, and where positive voting is already a statement, there's no need for the opposite. Not in a game meant for fun and sharing. It makes you a target for revenge Boos anyway. Truly Boo-worthy levels (copies, begging for hearts, trolling for plays, promoting game-breaking glitches) don't get my attention in the first place. If one tricks me into it, that's on me. No reason to add a Boo to the doubtless hundreds already garnered. For something unpopular, truly bad creators tend to filter themselves out quickly enough. What's sad is when someone unpopular (as in unknown) is discouraged at the beginning of his or her creative life on LBP2 and just gives up, playing levels without creating any. It feeds a cycle of negativitron (I mean negativity!) that distances them from the people providing their entertainment, what we'd call "parasite players", making the community Us vs. Them with a lopsided sense of empathy and a lot of harsh quasi-anonymous criticism.
My System
Yay and Review (encouragement) to everything with potential.
Heart to everything I intend to play again.
One thing: Kindness doesn't cost a thing when you're a relative nobody like me. Very popular players understandably may be more strict with their Reviews, Yays and Hearts since they can inadvertently promote something and cause a trend on Cool Pages for days or weeks. Feeding mediocre levels can be as bad as creating them. But I have a son and his levels are very poor, but he tries hard and I try to take that view with everything. Almost nobody deserves to be sh*t on by someone or worse, discouraged because a person's arbitrary personal values are limited to expression via a generalized voting one.
UPDATE: As grumpy as my post sounds, I Yay and Review almost everthing I play! (To anyone waiting on me after a Yay or Heart but no Review, I'm letting it sink in before I express it... and I know I'll be back to play again!)
UPDATE: However I am very conservative with Hearted Players. Anyone on my Hearted Players list is a personal friend/family, a consistently quality creator, or someone who taught me something so valuable that I "marry" them with a Heart so as to never to be separated from them again.
