    Default New Score Multipliers (1.06)

Does anyone understand how the new score multipliers work? I tried them with a variety of tweaks on the different options, and got a range of different results. I just don't fully understand what all those results are. What do the various tweaks actually do / how do they work?

This is quoted from the LBPC Wiki, but it really doesn't make a lot of sense to me:
    Multiplier

Multiplier Contribution: (Just Score • Score Bubble's Worth • One Multiplier)
Set the contribution value to the score multiplier system

    • Just Score - No value, will only award score
    • Score Bubble's Worth - The Score Giver will be worth the same (in score multiplier terms) as a Score Bubble.
    • One Multiplier - Adds one multiplier

    Multiplier Timer:
Set how long befeore the multiplier expires and is added to the player's score. If the time is 0.0s it will be permanent.
Anyone have a better way to explain this?

    Thanks!

Think about how bubble chains work.. I believe it is to mimic the way you pick up multipliers and how long before they time out etc. like when doing bubble chains.

Ah, I see... that makes more sense. I was thinking of it entirely wrong. I thought we as creators had control of how much / how often the multiplier took place. Thanks J-Dubbs!

EDIT: Okay. So after I typed that I looked back at the Wiki description, and it still makes very little sense to me (quite a bit MORE than it di, now that I understand the score-chain concept, but still...) I just don't get what the Multiplier Contribution tweaks do...

    • Just Score - No value, will only award score
    • Score Bubble's Worth - The Score Giver will be worth the same (in score multiplier terms) as a Score Bubble.
    • One Multiplier - Adds one multiplier

Just guessing as usual.. however I will go for it! lol

Just Score - Only award score. No different than score giver.
Score Bubbles worth - Each time you smack or grab etc with one of these connected works exactly like emitting a bubble via your chicken feeders.
One Multiplier - The same as doing 5 bubbles in a row, except it simply advances the multiplier.

Edited! Updated Just Score thanks to tdarb!

OK i went and had a play with it and this is what I found.

Just Score-just adds to the score without affecting the multiplier count. This is the way they behaved before.
One Prize Bubble-Adds to score and adds one prize bubble to the score bonus count. So it makes the giver behave like a bubble when it comes to adding to the multiplier tally.
One Multiplier- Grants the score and immediately advances the score multiplier by 1.

Basically it is what jwwphotos said, except the "just score" setting does not break the chain as far as I can see. That is all controlled by the timer.

Thanks guys! Yeah, I went and played with it too and came to basically the same conclusions. With the exception of this little nugget of wisdom:

I was trying to figure out the difference between turning the multiplier options off completely and the "just score" option. So yeah... well done, tdarb!

I suppose one of us ought to edit the Wiki entry to add some clarity.
