That was the rumor, but that only happened - to my knowledge - very early on once they hit the beta phase. Nevertheless, there's still a warning at the beginning of the game.
I thought we'd get a Wipeout HD demo this week, but I guess that's only going on for SCEE territories. Anyone know if they dropped the price down to $14.99 for the week? I'd definitely buy it for that...

It's a pretty good game, but I don't play it
The diffuculty and learning curve are STEEP! I went online after playing some offline races and was just massacred! It's the kind of game you play till you're a pro before going online or IMO don't expect to be able to compete otherwise
That being said, it's been worth the 20$ for me. Played some offline splitscreen which was fun, and also enjoyed a good part of the single player.

Working on a new level... Oh wait, it's out now! "Going Up 2: Un-bear-able!"
Also, check out Cstrfrk's newest levels to see what else we've come up with together since Online Create came out.

It's ALL about the WipeoutHD
Love the game to BITS. I just hope they release some track packs for it in the future. I miss some of the tracks from Pulse and new ones unique to HD would be awesome as well.
I can fully imagine Zone mode to be capable of that.isn't that the game that gave people seizures or something?

It's a good game, fun, beautiful, hectic...
...it's quite hard though. The difficulty level does ramp up relatively steeply I found.
But it certainly is a decent and relatively cheap futuristic racer.
Levels published: A journey through a digestive tract; The TSR - Three Stage Rocket - an entry into "Set the Scene" contest.
The How to series: How to make a monster give out more points; How to make a permanent switch ; How to make Magic Mouths work in different ways

I HEART this game to bits. I have always been a fan of Wipeout, I can remember playing the first one when I was young. I think this game is a bargain at £11.99, got it on release day. There's tonnes of trophies as well which is a bonus, and it's great online I've never experienced any lag at all and it's a great feeling when you eliminate someone else.
I've unlocked all the eight tiers, the last on is really hard though, even on novice I'm struggling to get them all it's just so unbelievably fast. I love the custom soundtracks too, got 86 songs on my PS3 now!
