Level description: "Spirits of the departed celebrate the Darkhallow on Halloween night. It is a time of awakening, celebration and home coming. Visit the graveyard, see the sights but be careful or you may join the spirits in their eternal mischief."
I've tried my hand at making a more straightforward platforming level, Halloween themed and full of bubble combo goodness. I've partially met my original goals but I'll let you be the judge of that. I'm happy to do F4F for people who wish, just let me know your requests and I'll get on it presently.
Cheers.

Excellent platformer Trindall. Lots of classic Halloween images entwined with some great platforming ideas. I loved the interweaving path through the warehouse enviroment at the start. This then leads you into the graveyard enviroment with lots of animated ghosts. I got stuck trying to get up and over the first tree and somehow managed to fluke it by jumping onto the ledge at the front layer and missing all the bubbles at the top. Soon after that you encounter my favourite part - the flipping stairs mechanisms. very well done. The length and pace of this level felt just right. Well done mate. Hearted and smiley faced.

What to say?...
I loved it!
It's a really nice platformer with great visuals and awesome use of the stickers.
Some really fun moments and a gameplay with a great pace.

Thanks for playing through the level, I appreciate it. I tried to keep the forward momentum as constant as the player is able to but I've not had a lot of input as to how it plays for others.
That part you got stuck on, what was the part that had you stuck? Didn't know where to go? Didn't make the ceiling swing? Ghosts moving too fast? Camera angle confusing the platform locations?Excellent platformer Trindall. Lots of classic Halloween images entwined with some great platforming ideas. It seems that the flipping stairs is the standout favorite among players. I had originally intended it to be tombstones that flipped but it was too unwieldy an idea for the player to be jumping on the tops of tombstones for no real reason so I changed it to stairs.
Thanks for the feedback on the level. Cheers.------------------

Great work Trindall, this was a real treat to play. Your use of stickers was what really caught my attention, especially at the point where the stair platforms flip over to reveal spikes. It was touches like that that made this so enjoyable. The pace was consistently fun and the interweaving design kept my thumbs nice and busy. Very nice work indeed

I absolutely love the sticker material. In the past when I used stickers they were always glitchy or came out low res in action but the sticker material is a godsend. It may be a good wait before I jump in for another level, so many end-of-the-year games coming out that I'll try to get some time with. I know there are other levels as good or better than this that have significantly less plays out there so I'm happy that people are at least playing mine. This was a very good level, underplayed i think, very well made and fun the whole way through, not only that but the visuals were very good as well, i look forward to new levels by you and will be playing your other levels as well. cant wait to see what you put out next
If I could have been done a week or two earlier maybe I could have risen with the wave of Halloween focused players to get more exposure but that is just how it turns out sometimes.

Great entry for the competition! Like others, my favorite part of the level was your use of stickers (the fire animation being my favorite). But I'll add to that your great use of layers, especially with the rotating stairs.
My only complaint is the use of R1 when crossing certain areas. I guess I'm a bit bias because I hate that particular gameplay, but I still managed to pass it once I took my time.
Good luck in the competition!

I appreciate the comments on my level, it has been a while since I've worked on making any new LBP2 levels and still need to get back into the right mode before I do more.
Thanks for taking the time to play the level. The sticker material is a great thing to use in levels, without it I'd never have any kind of ghosts in the level the way I do now.
I'll play through your latest level here presently and write up some feedback for you as well. Cheers.
Yeah, I think that the wide diversity of obstacle types has actually hindered the accessibility to many players. The ceiling swing section in particular seems to be a sore spot for a lot of gamers. I think I can put a short series of platforms for those who prefer run/jump but leave the bubbles up for those who want the harder challenge.Great entry for the competition! I played this level and i have to say it was really nice. Firs of all is amazing use of stickers - ghosts(great idea to make them in this way), lightning, ivy and fire animation, especially fire animation, i love it. Graphic looks pretty, stickers added really a lot to visuality. Gameplay is good too, i like part with rotating stairs and zombies hands under it looks great. Simply good job

I appreciate the thoughts on my level and the comments about the sticker effects and start part. I'm surprised that the fire effect is mentioned as much as it is as it was a bit of throwaway functionality that I put in at the very end after I re-designed a bit of the hazard implementation.I played this level and i have to say it was really nice.
