    Default SSX - Out soon

So, as some of you may know, the new SSX is set to be released in the UK on the 28th of Febuary 2012.

For those of you who don't know what SSX is, it's a arcade snowboarding game, well i say that, but it's actually so much more. Don't be put off by the idea of sliding down snowy mountions and jumping off things with poorly animated characters, oh no.. not at all.

SSX Tricky and SSX 3 were both on the PS2, and were massive successes, though due to the lack of technology they never had a chance to push their limits to Multiplayer gameplay, yes.. That's right. SSX has Multiplayer..

Now at this point some of you may be saying, so what? -Most games have Multiplayer these days, and you'd be right, but any fan of the SSX series will know this is a big leap for the developers, and one i personally can't wait to dive into.

SSX is more than just a snowboarding game, it's a game for pure fun. Most online games these days are competitive to the point of frustration and anger, for example, Call of Duty and various other shooters. You go around killing people and it's fine, then you die and that person is instantly assumed a camping noob tuber

No, SSX won't have none of this "BS" online, it'll be pure entertaintment for friendly games and to play with friends for FUN.

So what makes SSX different to normal snowboarding games? What makes it unique?

-SSX is all about over the top, crazy and imagnative maps, moves and trickpoints. For example, your racing down a mountion, two friends besides you fighting for the lead in points and to the race marker at the Helicopter, whilst an avalanche is just behind you, crashing down as you glide through the air down the worm on your snowboard, whilst your two friends are doing some moves i couldn't even describe to you, it's that imagnative.

Here, take a look at what i mean:

    Here's some more:

Yes, this game looks amazing, and the core element of gameplay will be just as, if not, more brilliant than the previous titles.

Let me know what you think, and if there's any fans of this game out there, be sure to let me know

Oh god, i didn't realise this was out so soon. I so want this game, but I doubt I will be able to afford it with vita out around that time D:

Hope it comes to vita actually. They said it would if the console versions are successful.

Sorry, did you say "IF the console versions are successful"?

I think you made a typo, you mean't "WHEN the console versions are successful"? Course it's going to be successful, it's going to be some of the best fun i've had since i last played SSX Tricky a few years ago.

Uhh, yes please. It's my next purchase, hands down. SSX is known for kick-!*@ soundtracks in addition to fast-paced wintry arcade snowboarding. I had sore fingers and wrists from playing SSX3 on PS2. Not sure I'm buying this on release, but I'll be buying it for sure.

Oh I have no doubt the game will be great, but I can't say how sure I am that it will be majourly successful. Extreme sport games have kind of died out now, so I'm not sure how it's sales will go. It deserves to do well though.

If they keep the gameplay intact from the original version? It'll do just fine.

If it's broken when sent to reviewers, then it'll suffer, but the vids released so far look like everything's intact.

Oh my.... I've been anticipating a SSX game for 9 years. This is singly my most anticipated game of the year. (moreso than LBP Vita)

Good to know i'm not the only fan of this game then ^.^ Perhaps we could all play it when it's out? :P

Looks great though, and no doubt they would have kept the core gameplay from the previous versions because as the saying goes:

"If it's not broke, don't fix it"

Also here's a video you might like to see:

I'd be intrested in trying a demo for this video game- any idea when or if one'll be out?
Isn't it Ironic how points are the most pointless part of LBP?

No news of a demo yet, perhaps one will be announced later on, though to be honest, if this at all interests you in the slightest, go for it, buy it and try it. It's an incredible game company behind it and the key factor of the game itself is FUN.

If it's anything like the previous games the new SSXSXXS will be hella fun.

I played the demo that came with the PS2 to death, along with Tricky and I don't even like sports games generally.

I agree. Although i do quite like sports, not like football and all that non sense, more like extreme sports, racing, motorbikes, dirt jumps, rally etc. and Yes, SSX tricky was an amazing game, even to do this i still put it in my top 3 games of all time, so imagine what i'm feeling towards this new one.. A month is just too long to wait.

Had a look at some video reviews. The game actually looks excellent! Don't know why I didn't pick it up before. Just ordered it on amazon for £23.

I never play multiplayer so I won't miss it, prefer the autolog-type gameplay. Can't wait, looks like a lot of fun .
