"I like pie."
The most overused cliche interjection in the world. Existed before time dawned, and is still thriving upon the dry, unoriginal comedy of little children and socially deprived weirdos everywhere. If you ever want to see the light of the day or form the smallest relationship with a peer, do not say this. You may attempt to make people laugh, but they will only cry.
Nah, just kidding. But it IS overused, you must say. How many people have you met in a conversation just interrupt with "I like pie"? In my opinion, it's not funny. It only creates awkward situations. For example...
You: "Hey, Jim! So what'd you do today that was exciting?"
Jim: "Nothing. School is never the least bit exciting."
You: "Really? What's your favorite part of the school day, then?"
Jim: "Leaving."
*You both proceed to laugh, and some weirdo comes up to you*
Guy: "I like pie."
._______.
It just kills all funny in a three mile radius! It's like a bomb. GABOOOOOSSHH. You only hear that floating around the elementary school lots nowadays. If you want it to be useful, here's a suggestion. You know that rec next door that always hosts that annoyingly hilarious comedian? Want it to stop, huh? Barge in there, walk up on stage, and say "I like pie." That'll bring the house down. And sales. And spirits. And most likely the International Space Station.
But that's just me. I am very sorry if I've offended any supporters/ constant users of the phrase, I was just fooling around. In fact, I used to say that back in first grade myself. What do you think? Cliche or comedy?
No, this is not an important subject.

Maybe that's a regional thing. I've either never or extremely rarely heard that phrase said alone out of context. I can see how that could be a social and comical bomb though.

First of all, that post made me laugh. a lot.
Second of all, i've never heard anyone use the I like pie thing before. Except maybe once or twice on the interwebs.

Yes, I used to say "I like pie" but ever since I got a life and started playing videogames all day, I stopped using that horrible phrase. Also, something else that little kids use WAY too much is "Elmo is cool." I doubt anyone on LBPC has really heard that, but almost every kid in my city says that.

I used to say 'I like pie' like you. Then I took a-
No. I'm not even going to go there.
^ Not accurate time due to me using an alternate Minecraft launcher.

If you could donate just $5/month, that would be awesome. Don't know how long I can support this on my own... :I I'd say less, but $5 is the minimum they allow... >.<
