"I Like Pie"; Phrase Must Die?

Everyone used to think it was funny when I was what, 10? I seldom hear it anymore though.

Oh, believe me, it's all around. You'll hear it, trust me. It'll pop up when you're having a hilarious conversation, usually with a large group of people, and just when it gets a bit quiet, some turd'll blurt "I LIKE PIE!" in a sad attempt to continue the laughing. It's like overkill. The laughing dies, and just to make sure it's dead, you shoot it in the head twice with that phrase. MDGGRHHH it's so annoying.
Although the physical pie itself is enjoyable .
I realized that "I like pie" can be countered by the occasional "NOBODY CARES". Life saver

I think it varies with people; I never heard the phrase here nor in any city I've been that's located near us.

I've only ever heard the phrase on Weebl and Bob when it was shown on TV around ten years ago. Does it predate that?

Ok, so I must have left my computer on this thead all night, because when I woke up and my computer stopped "Sleep" Mode that face was the first thing I saw and I was freaking terrified.
