Started Mirror's Edge two days ago and I'm very impressed. The gameplay is excellent, very exciting and heart-racing though slightly frustrating at times. Still when you barely survive a firefight via a perfectly timed series of acrobatics it's quite thrilling. I've never played anything quite like it and I think it deserves recognition in the same line as Portal for doing something innovative in the FPS genre and for pulling it off so well (though I suppose the story, Glados and the ending has a lot to do with Portal's success).
The cut-scenes may not be for everyone being illustrated but I like them, I think the voice acting is great and the dialogue's pretty good.
I love the colour scheme, and despite being all bright colours, the world is still very detailed. When you see walls and stuff up close, you do see the "dimples" of the concrete. And I thought there wouldn't be any wear on the surfaces but there is.
I find the combat a bit unweildy and it can be very hard to aim kicks and punches... and I find the disarms almost impossible without slowing down time.
Still I'm extremely happy with the game, the gameplay is great, graphics are very nice, the sound is excellent, presentation is quite good and the story seems good enough though I haven't finished it yet.
I'll do a full review when I've finished but I'm guessing it'll end up being somewhere between 8 and 9/10.

I've managed to work a bit of Resistance 2 into the mix of my current game playing. I really miss the "rocket launcher in the pocket" pick up every weapon from the first game though. Although it is realistic to only have 2 weapons at a time, that does not by any means make for a fun game. Sure, you have to make strategic choices blah blah blah... but, well, it's still annoying in my opinion.

Still though, slowly working through it. I can't seem to get the terms of use for the online mode to display, and so I can't go online. I'm almost at the point where I'm not constantly firing secondary mode to to swap weapons. Almost.
Levels published: A journey through a digestive tract; The TSR - Three Stage Rocket - an entry into "Set the Scene" contest.
The How to series: How to make a monster give out more points; How to make a permanent switch ; How to make Magic Mouths work in different ways
Current project: The Good Ship Prometheus
Read my blog. :P

Castlevania something something on the DS. It's not as good as some of the older ones. It's a little more Simon's quest with all the different areas you can visit since you don't spend any time in Drac's castle, but so far it just isn't interesting me as much.
Left 4 Dead is still freaking me out big style.
Saints Row 2 is still good fun.
