Everyone's played it online, now play it in LBP2! Very simple, just hold 'X' to increase the helicopter's altitude, and release to lower. Fly as far as possible without crashing to get the high score!

I have seen a few of these in LBP2 already and they are usually fun. Your logic works and feels pretty balanced and your map is pretty varied.

Plays like a charm!
Is the level generated with a randomizer or is it fixed?TiltWorks!

Thanks for playing, sorry for the late reply! The level is generated with a randomizer yes, so theoretically if you're insanely good, you could keep going infinitely as there is no 'end' as such. Not sure if it starts off a bit too hard though, it's hard to tweak things when it's randomly generated.

Once it's published, the level is the same every time even if you use a randomizer. It's because the seed of the randomizer is the same every time you play it, therefore it gerenates the same sequence every time. There's some tricks to make it truly random though.

How do you make it truly random? Or is it difficult? I understand that the 'randomiser' is the same every time once published, but each time I republish the level the pattern seems to change. It may just be a case of republishing a few times until a pattern I like appears.

You need to emit the randomiser logic at a time that is not pre-determined (like the start of a level loading). If it is based on a a player input (like pressing X to start) then it will generate at that time.
It's not truly random but it's as close as you can get.

In the bottom level in my signature i put some truly random logic. A new level is generated every time you play. I can take you to my moon if you want to see how i did it.

So, if you get the randomiser to emit when the player presses X, the pattern will change depending on when the player presses it? Might give that a go and see what happens, wouldn't mind having a look at how you've pulled it off though Deurklink1 if you're alright with that?
