Oh man, I had so much fun playing this level. Fast and fun gameplay accompanied by fantastic scenery. Everything works and flows nice and while I enjoy a bit of thinking in levels this still gives the player one heck of a ride. In some ways the level reminded me of Jackofcourses crazy scenery changes back in LBP1.

The one thing I didn't like was the character. I don't mind a story in levels as long as they don't kill the flow too much, but this guy just pops up at the end and tells you it's his space station! Why would I care about that? What exactly is his purpose, except for taking up my time? after such a well-crafted level a random charcter like that felt very off and missplaced. I would've been completely okay with no story or characters at all. To me the only thing the dude does is to highlight the lack of a story, making the level worse.

    Take him out! xD

    Anyway, great level, woop.

  3. Thanks!

Okk, I take note, Mnniska, I was doubting about that, but I though... lets include a little humor touch, and... so, I decided create a character. I think a level without dialoge is empty, but not in all cases. Thanks for the review and I'm glad you liked the level.

I love how humble you are! "No idea people would like it." Are you INSANE! It was amazing! The design was gorgeous. The gameplay was fun AND simple. You've done things I've never seen any other creator do in a simple platformer! With the right choice of music and wonderful use of decorations. This level is an no doubt A+!

I wish I saw this thread when i first played this level.
To be completely honest, this is the type of level that I play LBP for. Just the awsome gameplay elements that keeps this level as fun as it was all the way through to the score board. I dont say this often, but if MM can see a good level, this has to be on the MM picks list because this level is as good if not better then most of the recent MM picks.
I am looking foward to your next level!

This level is incredible. The visuals looked ridiculously awesome, especially the rocket launch at the start. This level features many of the extremely cool obstacles, including the emitted walls with circular movements. Also, you created a really good music that is space-themed. Great job creating a massive level with a lot of amazing contraptions and epic visuals that is a nice tribute to LFier's mother.

I don't expect you to play it. But if you do, I hope you like it. It isn't nearly as amazing as yours XD

    Hi ALS_TheGamer

well, what should I say :-D first of all: you make people feel like first-grades when you say "this is nothing special" ... well my friend: This level is the far most special level I've ever played so far. I'm a big fan of plattforming levels and your level drags me back in the old time of awesome plattformers of the c'64. I maybe have to explain why:
This level (at least for my taste) has no weak points: when you're not a total noob you can handle this level without loosing a life very easy - and that's a great thing for me, cause this level is highliy adictive when you go for a real high-score (hehe: I lost first place today so I defenitely have to play it again ^^), it's absolutely NOT frustrating at any point cause you've been able to include such a superb gameflow (only interrupted due to some camera-angles, but nothing wrong with that). er, em, what was I was trying to explain? ah, got it :-D the thing about c'64 and old-school: well: after playing it a few times it's obvious that with every play you learn something else that you can do better at the next time so you can save some more time to get a higher bonus-score. And THAT reminds me totally off the old great c'64 times where you have practice and learn all the incoming waves of enemies or (like in this case) the best jump points or the best ways "how" to jump. And after all, the visuals in this level are just out of this world :-D haha: absolutely gorgeous! And you have included some really brilliant obstacles and I really love the pink wheels with the button-jump-pad-lever on them.

Running, jumping, bouncing through this level and collecting points all the way to the scoreboard and be rewarded for a good speed has never ever made so much fun. This level is really a masterpiece and hell no: this is far beyond from "nothing special" :-D to be more specific: reduce the effect-overloads and the visual overflows to just the basics and you get this: pure visuals and brilliant plattforming - that's all you need when you reeeeeeally want to have fun. And that's what makes this level special!

Kudos to you and congrats for being picked by MM Thank you for one of the greatest plattforming level that I've seen so far - and believe me, I've seen a lot in my whole (long) life :-D

    I love it

    Greetings
    Neoviny

ps: sorry, I forgot about the music..... one word: epic ...

I don't think that there will be an option for this cause you mentioned that the thermo is at 100%, but what I've noticed is, that the time-based bonus at the end could be optimized. I didn't noticed exactly the interval in which the bonus-reward increases, but I think that it's highly recommendable to shorten this interval where the air gets thinner. At my highscore I finished after 5.42 (with all 1k-bubbles collected!!!) and after that run (which wasn't a perfect run) I start again and was able to finish at 5.34 - that was an 8 second faster run, but I lost some point-bubbles and didn't get the highest multiplyer so my score was a bit below my highscore - well, even that it isn't designed to be a "real" race, I expected that there would have been a higher bonus but it ain't. I think that this would be the only way to enhance this level cause it would give another reason for getting better. I don't know if the bonus-score works in 10 or 15-second-intervals and I really think, that with an absolutely perfect run it could be possible to finsh below 5.30 (well, with ALL 1k-bubbles collected !!!). It would be great to see these intervals in shorter steps around the 5.20 to 5.40 section ... maybe an extra bonus-score for finishing-times below 5.40, 100 points for every second faster than 5.40 for example. This extra-bonus shouldn't be too high, cause in that case there would be a conflict with the 1k-bubbles - I think 100p/sec. below 5.40 would be perfect...

Well, just one last thing: I played this level very often now and I start to wonder how the time-based score-bonus works: I finished a lot of times within 5.31 and 5.50 (last one just to see what score-bonus I'll receive)... em, er... I don't get it how this interval works:

I finished at 5.31 and got 6.300 points
    I finished at 5.42 and got 6.400 points ???
I finished at 4.54 (without 1k-bubbles collected) and got 7.200 (or 7.300? not sure)
I finshed at 5.51 and receveid 6.500 points????? huh??

A 20 seconds faster run (5.31) decreases my score about 200 points? why that? I'm scratching my head cause I don't know how you build up this interval...? :-)

Well: after all these plays it's still the awesome level that I reviewd above. And all I can say is that there are just 2 areas where it's a bit of a wheel of fortune if you
you're able to get a real high score at the end (well, beside being fast) cause I don't know if your skill is the keyfactor here:

    - after the big wheel where you have to grab the glowing-material on the inside: after that wheel you have to do the looong jump, followed by a rotating wheel and another long jump. after these two jumps there are two clusters of point-bubbles and you only get a real high score when you're lucky enough to catch all of these bubbles. After my countless attempts it seems to be a lucky one if the sackboy jumps directly through all the bubbles after the jump-pad (2 rows of bubbles)

    - the very last jump at the end where you hafte to grabbing these two rows of glowing material: when you're not lucky enough to release the grab at the right time to be able to fly fast enough into the two point-clusters, you loose a high multiplyer as well

Well, that's not a problem for my taste - but these strange time-intervals that gives the player less points when they are faster is really weird :-D I hope you can handle that issue, cause it's some sort of punishment instead of a reward for the faster players :-D

I could try it, but, the thermo is full... I can't put any logic tool or camera on it, but thanks for these suggestions, will help me make a better score system next time.

:-) sounds great... but by all respect: after playing your level it doesn't seem that you need help in anyway: you're an awesome creator with great skills - that's for sure :-D

That said: I have to play this level again... it's just great time and fun to play, ... everytime!
