What really bugs(heh punny) me about this is that theres so many glitches and bugs in the game, and yet they have the time to remove boos and give the ability to take away comments and reviews. Like, how about you fix the stuff everyone wants you to fix, instead of some new random thing no one complains about. I dont know which is worse, MM with LBP, screwing the game up and finally having a big update that "fixes" one "problem" no one asked for and causing seventeen more, or maxis was with spore, which was one of the most innovative games ever, and ruined it before release and then totally abandoned it. With what MM is doing, Id rather be abandoned :P
This is why Ive given up on LBP2 and focused on LBP vita, hoping that tarsier will handle things better.

My PS3 froze as someone signed off PSN while I was in their pod. It normally lags and flips out when it does that, but it's never froze the actual PS3 before :/

The "recent changes made to your profile could not be saved due to an unknown error" bug has happened to me twice in recent weeks.
When I enter create mode just after that message, and then try to return to the pod, I get a message saying
"Problem loading data. try cleaning your pod. Press X to clear the pod etc. "
even though my pod was already cleared and X won't respond so I have to quit to the XMB, play again and import a recent profile back-up. But of course that doesn't prevent the "unknown error" from returning again.
Also, some people's planets give me lag so heavy that it gives me the impression that the PS3 has frozen even though it actually hasn't. And on some people's planets, levels dont show up at all. And then other planet's cause the pod menus to become completely fudged up, giving me no choice but to quit to the XMB. I have even recorded footage of the menus becoming messed up using my PSP's go-cam but I have no idea how to share or upload the footage.
Anyway, The "unknown error" is the worst thing that has happened during this update (I don't remember it happening during 1.11). Any bug that prevents a game from being saved is major problem for a game to have and I think it should be taken a bit more seriously than it is at the moment. I've become less motivated to create knowing that the profile error could rear it's ugly head again at any time.Make sure you put these levels in your queue

Working on a costume last night when I suddenly get signed out of PSN for no apparent reason. After this, create mode was stuck in the zoomed in view you see when changing outfits and I had to return to my pod to fix it. Yet another bug which I've never seen happen before.
Reading through all your posts, it seems that incidents of unstable behaviour are definitely on the rise in LBP2. First few patches improved the game overall while introducing a few relatively minor bugs, but the more recent patches seem to have broken more than they fixed. I wonder if any of these recent issues can even be patched now without breaking the game even further.

I've gotten used to the new update by now, like taking a picture after playing a level to stop being stuck in the rate screen. There has been quite a few freezes for me recently, but not TOO many. I'm more mad about all the "WE NED THE BOO" level's made by trolls that boo good levels. :/

For me there are problems with both the speech and the subtitles. Recorded speech sort of randomly drops out and so do the subtitles, although enabling subtitles in the menu seems to make them work 100% of the time.
Oh, and now my reviews are always ruined because they get cut off halfway through. MM STOP RUINING THIS GAME!!!

I didn't play online for a while, but when I finally did I was amazed at how smooth it seemed. Now it really lags, sometimes making it unplayable. It's also hard to find any strangers to play with, they either deny me straight away or kick me within seconds of entering. It's a shame really, I don't usually like online gaming but this is actually fun.
I'm noticing other bugs here and there; 'Dive In' is unstable, sometimes remaining on screen for ages, sometimes there are strange shadows and lighting issues in create mode which cause me to have to restart the game. Also had a few complete game freezes.

Yet, after all of this, none of these things ever happen to me

Stangely I've had the same experience with Skyrim, a game which many people consider to be an unplayable bug-fest. I have a 12mb save file with over 200 hours of gameplay, yet apart from seeing a mammoth fall from the sky and a khaljit merchant swimming through the air I've had no bugs or glitches, and incidences of lag/freezing have been so rare as to be virtually non-existent. Perhaps karma decided to ruin my LBP experience just to balance out the good luck I've had with Skyrim.

Had an interesting bug with the first Toy Story levels - the blocks you fire using the creatornator had a white edge, rather than pink, and it wouldn't collect any prize bubbles. Tried restarting the level but that didn't work, so I had to exit the whole game and boot it up again.

I was playing with a friend last night who had been updating an lbp1 level and giving it a makeover with lbp2 logic. She said that one day the level just became unplayable and started to crash the PS3 anytime she tried to load it. I asked her to show me and sure enough it crashed my PS3 just like she said.
Well after hard resetting I received a very disturbing message stating "The file system of the hard disk may be corrupted. The system will restart, check the file system and restore it if it is corrupted". I have NEVER seen anything like this before on the many occasions that I have had to hard reset my PS3 over the years. Quite frankly it scared the heck out of me.

The scan only took a few minutes though so I'm guessing everything's ok, since it said it would take a few hours if anything was amiss.Last edited by Kiminski; 05-16-2012 at 09:37 AM.
