old levels appearing on the top of the cool pages?!?!?!

Seriously wth? Old levels are still appearing on the cool pages. There are two old levels on the cool pages right now. APOLLO 13 by IMA_TAKA and Skyrim Costumes by DARKPUDDIN. This has happened a few times before with other levels and creators. If anyone has any info about this, start talking. http://lbp.me/search?t=cool

I wonder... Apparently before it was just a rare glitch, but could this have something to do with the removal of the boos? I heard the way the cool pages work would change when the boos were factored out, maybe the new way doesn't take a level's "age" into account.

IMA_TAKA just locked APOLLO 13 so it is not visible on the cool pages right now. Skyrim Costumes is still there. http://lbp.me/u/ima_taka/comments

it's random it seems, I've seen un-updated levels with inactive creators sky-rocket to the top.

If I had to take a guess I would say the system that checks how high your level should be on the cool pages resets on your level for some odd reason and it occurs all the time, why aren't we noticing? Well of course when a level with 1000s of plays return people take notice, but it mostly happens to the other published levels which have around 0 to 5 plays since well that's what mostly 90% of levels published receive (figure could be way off lol), they're pretty much as doomed as before at getting plays, for example a level with 2 plays might reset and end up with 3 extra plays before falling since it was never popular in the first place. Since a previous level was already proven to climb to the top of the cool pages and recieve 1000s of plays then it will have no problem climbing to the top again.

Just a theory of course.

Oh this is nice to know lol..So are they trancferring there levels to lbp 2 and then geting on the cool pages, Or is some how lbp1 levels geting in to lbp 2 and then geting on the cool pages :o..

Levels never disappear from cool pages; they only drop in priority after the first few days. You can see this by going into LBP.me and searching - right now in cool levels there are 2,844,166 levels.

So, this may be due to something in the database that makes the level get priority again.

Honestly, it doesn't matter for me if the levels on the cool pages are old or not, as long as they are genuinely fun to play levels, then that means that the cool pages may not be completely lost to the trollz. There may be hope for the cool pages.....
