I'm always standing outside the ring of fire on puns.

so I don't derail the DLC thread.

Different people work on different aspects of the game. The folks that made these costumes may not even be a part of the same studio as the programmers responsible for bug fixes. It's not as though Sony could assign all its artists to coding duties and implement the fixes faster!
Fair enough. I guess you have a good point there. It's just infuriating to see so much icing being produced when the cake itself is crumbling.
Lucky you.
I've recently had profile corruption, console lock ups, serious online lag, and a whole host of new bugs which I'd never seen before since the last update. The game is so broken for me that I can't even face putting the disc in my console these days.

Thanks!

Knock on wood, I just haven't experienced these things. Then again, it might be because 99.9% of the time, I play alone. rarely does this hermit venture into someone else's pod and I don't think anybody ever has seen mine, not even my brother. Wait, I think Rickrock saw it one time. I sure miss that bugger. I know they exist and I know a lot of people are having trouble. Oh, back on topic. What's the character's name with the two headed sackboy? And the stickers for this pack looks pretty slick too.

I don't think the disc has actually left my console in like... 5 months.
I still backup a lot as my other PS3 just failed and I lost, well everything else Skyrim, Batman... sigh...

Is it just me, or is everyone's PS3s dying lately? I have the 60GB model and its been very loud lately and doesn't read some dvds.
I guess I better start backing up all the save data.

I think mine is dying too. It gets very hot and noisy very quickly. If it's true that a lot of people's consoles have been dying lately, then since so many people with PS3s have also been playing Skyrim over recent months I would speculate that Skyrim might be killing our consoles by making them work too hard. Strangely though I can run Skyrim for an hour or more before the fans kick in, yet 5 minutes with LBP2 and my PS3 is roaring like a freight train.

LBP2 is on a double layer blu-ray, Skyrim not.I think mine is dying too. It gets very hot and noisy very quickly. That's why LBP2 damages consoles badly (standing to what Sony Italian techs says)
Also...Skyrim installs a big chug of the game on the HDD, while with LBP2 the PS3 goes back and forward through disc and patches.
Add to that the fact that people plays LBP in create for hours and that you're forced to play online in an archaic server structure...
Well, I think no game destroys PS3 like LBP does.
If the whole PS3 userbase has a percentage of dead PS3 around 8-10%, in the LBP community this data reaches at least 15-20%

Huh. I have (I think) The limited edition GB PS3, (The highest GB one), And my PS3 has never became hot and made noises. But, then again, I dont play my LBP2 and Skyrim that much anymore. In fact, its my computer thats making the "VRRROOOOOMMRRUUUMMRRUMMM" sound.LBP2 is on a double layer blu-ray, Skyrim not.

If the whole PS3 userbase has a percentage of dead PS3 around 8-10%, in the LBP community this data reaches at least 15-20%see, it's just the opposite for me. I have the old fat 60GB and I can play LBP for several hours without the fans kicking on but yet I put Red Dead Redemption in and in 30 minutes to an hour the fans kick on in high gear. It's really loud and worries me that it's going to explode, so I shut down.I think mine is dying too. It gets very hot and noisy very quickly. Interesting... but, what if you downloaded LBP2 from the PSN store? Wouldn't that solve the problem? After all, theres no more blue-ray disc to worry about.LBP2 is on a double layer blu-ray, Skyrim not.

It just sucks because I don't have $200 sitting around for a PS3. And the fact that LBPK HAS to be on a disc and can't be downloadable(the developers confirmed) I would imagine the disc is going to be brutal on any ps3.

what makes you think that LBP2 is on a double layer Blu-ray? only games that exceed 25GB are put onto a double layer Blu-ray. LBP2 isn't even close to 25GBLBP2 is on a double layer blu-ray, Skyrim not.

I would, except there's a chocolate cookie jammed in my disc tray.
Seriously though...check this thread out and you'll see what I'm talking about. I'm not the only one having issues with the game right now.
