Hello sacklings!
After hours and hours of creating and test-playing, it's finally time to release a new level!
I started on this level after listening to some songs from Comishguy67's MM-picked gallery. One of the songs inspired me to make this space-themed level. The level is randomly generated every time you play.
Here's some pictures of the level:
It's really hard to make pictures in a level that keeps moving, so to really get a good feel you should go on and play it, trust me, you won't be disappointed
One tip: If you feel like you can't keep up with the pace of the level, jump! That's right, the longer you keep going on, the further you can jump!
Also, since this is F4F, i will review your level if you leave some feedback on mine! And if you find some bugs, please tell me!
Good luck!

This level was fun. The camera moved a bit too slow for my liking, but if it was sped up it might be too hard. The random generator stuff is genius I wish I could do stuff like that. The level felt easy but I kept on dying, because I hesitated after I jumped. I might come back and play it again another, I just know I can do better, and that's always a good sign.
Hey if you have the time, please give me some feedback on my level, Sky Survival.

I really like how you are randomly generating the playfield.
Overall, I think it could use a little more to challenge the player other than just move to the right constantly. Maybe some segments could move the player up and down, or involve a grappling hook or power glove - maybe throwing some of the boxes out of the way?
Visually I love the parallax effect, though the depth of field blur looks a little odd. Lighting-wise, I might darken it up a bit to make it more interesting...for a spaceship that's currently exploding, it sure looks very brightly lit
With all the exposed electronics and fire, you have plenty of opportunity for interesting interactive lighting.

I didn't want this level to use grappling hooks, since i already made a few levels with them. Having power gloves sounds like fun though. I might make some obstacles based on it laterI really like how you are randomly generating the playfield.

Just now, i realized i haven't done anything with the lighting effects. Shame on meVisually I love the parallax effect, though the depth of field blur looks a little odd. Thanks for pointing it out, i'll experiment a bit with it.

Wow, that got quite intense! Awesome survival challenge. Nice variety of obstacles, which really made you think, especially once it started getting faster. There's a few things I would have done differently, such as preventing the player from getting off the board too much (although I got way behind once, and actually caught back up). The intro could have had a little more pizazz to it, but that's not a big deal. Overall, an awesome level. Heart and smiley =)

It doesn't require too much thinking in my opinion :P If you're in doubt, jump. If you're too much on the righthand side of the screen, you die
It's that easy (of course, when it gets really fast, it's so much harder :P )
Yeh, i thought about that too. Making the game start a little faster might just do the trick!
making it impossible to go to the right too much isn't that easy because it's pretty hard to make a non-passable obstacle which has to travel through other obstacles.
I'm glad that you liked it. I know this level has a short intro, i didn't spend much time on it. I did it this way to keep the replay level high. No-one likes replaying a level which has a long intro
Of course, you can make it skippable, i might add some kind of skippable story later, i just don't have enough time to make everything as good as it could be.
Will play your level soon, hope it isn't too much like your other pacman levels! (maybe it's time to start a new project. I'm sure you have enough lbp2 logic experience by now to start some new cool projects!)Last edited by Deurklink1; 05-30-2012 at 10:01 PM.

Yes, it's pretty much the same level, with fixes and additions. I'm trying not to just settle for my first publish, but to take feedback into consideration and make the level better. Many people said it would look better with a flat camera, and that the ghosts should have eyes. I do regret, in some ways, my first republish of the level...the original had over 350 plays. Doesn't sound like much for some people, but that was ALOT for me. But I republished in the interest of making a better level.

I played this level and enjoyed it. There was a distinct atmosphere which really added to the level and I loved the scoreboard. I like survival challenges and this is one of my favourites. I think if I were to add anything, I'd add an item like a creatinator to allow the player to interact with the environment.
Nice level, I'm inspired to make my own survival level actually. Not sure what theme to use though, probably a jungle one, or maybe a Temple Run remake

Thanks for the feedback! If you liked this level, you'll probably like Wake up the Forest too! It's a jungle themed survival challenge. The link is in my signatureI played this level and enjoyed it.
