I'm trying to make a damage chip using a counter, but since my level's weapons are supposed to have different power percentages, I'm having a lot of trouble doing this. So say, for example, it takes 100 shots to destroy an enemy. A one shot kill would equal 100% power, and a 100 shot kill would equal 1% power. How would I make this to incorporate all the different combinations of weapon powers while only using one counter? I'm guessing it has something to do with batteries? I'll keep working on it, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

this is probably your best bet:

PULSING.
You can't actually make it so that one signal can increment a counter anything different than one, but we can get pretty darn close, and we do that with pulses. Say your 100 health system also has a 2 shot kill, or a shot that increments the counter by 50. You would make a chip that pulses 50 times to increment the counter by 50, or any number (2,10, 15, etc.) depending on your damage type.
HOWZ DUHYA DYOO DHIS!? I hear you scream. Well, here is a logic circuit I build that pulses any number of times you want. It looks like this:

Sexy, isn't it? Especially on that sexy piece of dark matter.
Anyway, the two squares on the bottom right and left of the circuit that look like evil timers in disguise as counters are actually counters. The right on has a target count of one, and the left one has a target count of x, with x being the amount of pulses you want. Simply build this circuit, set the target count of the bottom left counter to the number of times you want to pulse, wire the AND gate to your health counter, and presto; logic has happened! Sure, it's slow as heck when you're pulsing 70 times or something, but it's the principle that counts, so you'll just have to bear it.I miss the good old pre-war LBP days when we didn't have to dodge all these stupid bombs.

Play my SackDroid series! Kato says, "It's like you're watching Star Wars only it's been replaced by the cast of Spaceballs, with the exception of Luke Skywalker who walks around very confused as to why Han Solo has a Star Wars DVD, and indeed what a DVD is in the first place."
