    Default Spikewood ( Fast platformer )



    Yet another fast platformer from me :D this time a cave / jungle kinda theme! No big advanced logic or contraptions, only bounce pads and rotating sponge :P
    This level is fairly hard, so don't get too frustrated when you die xD
    Please report any bugs / glitches!

    Pretty cool, the visuals are simple but consistent and look very nice! Also, the mechanisms in your level work very well, some parts of the level really play themselves while you get propelled from one side to the other. Very cool!
    One thing i didn't like so much was the music. One of my house mates actually asked me if i could turn down the volume a bit xD But i guess that's just a matter of taste. Great job!

    Hey, here's my review of your level. I would also love if you played my level in return. http://lbp.me/v/cffp5-
    Review:
    During the descent up to the MEGA WHEEL (the one with so many spikes) there should be a checkpoint during the ascend up to that wheel. Because the mega wheel is kind off tricky and dying restarts you a fair bit. Also during the final ascend if the level, the bounce pads are not strong enough and a few times I did not reach the top and fell back down in to the spikes. It felt like the level was playing itself out here, so I was hoping the bounce pad would take me up with no effort on my part =] lol.
    I also died a lot and don't see how I could have made that race before it ended. Maybe it's just me so I wouldn't recommend chaning the race timer unless other people think the same thing.
    Overall the level was very neat in design with a nice theme. Like you said above its simple in just being bounce pads and grab-wheels, but it was a really fun fast paced, exciting level, no doubt. It's obvious the amount of work that goes in to something like this - Liked and Hearted.

    I played this yesturday as I enjoyed your recent down is up level. This was a fun simple level. I didn't like the music choice however. It was incredibly clear that the gameplay was inspired by Culture Meeting...but cmon...the same exact music too? You can only listen to that wierd song so many times lol

    This level is amazing. I loved it to bits, just like most fast platformers. It had nice visuals, AMAZING gameplay, and it was just fun all together. Nice job man.

    There's a way to reach the floor of the level. Near-ish the start.
    You come out of the checkpoint (if you died) and fall down, and swing on the sponge circle to try and reach the test tube/ green hamster tube. There's a gap there, and it's possible to fall down through. Pic uploaded as proof. Hope you fix this :-)

    And Just a while after there, two bouncepads launch you *way* up, these seem to be one shot, so if you don't go to the side first time, it doesn't work :s

    I played it in 2p, so this might be the cause of some problems

    And I also know why this happened, I knew this bug before publishing the level, but forgot all about it xD
    it isn't because you played it in 2p, it's because the jump pads reset along with the other things, so It's just abit of logic I should change :P

    Haha, yeah actually this level isn't inspired by Culture meeting, but It's true I got the idea to the music from that level.. I really could find any music that actually fitted the level :/

    Hmm well perhaps the gameplay wasn't directly inspired by Culture Meeting, but the fast paced no floor type platformer is something that Culture Meeting to most of us pioneered. He may not have been the only person in the world with the same idea, but even having that music in there will make anyone think the same lol. Hmm.. message me on PSN, I might have music for you to try out that hasn't been used by anyone in their levels. I got a bad religion sequencer that hasn't been used yet. And a couple of Rise Against sequencers if you're interested in them. I created them all myself also.

    If you want an original song I can try and get one together for you, I've been wanting to start becoming a major music sequencer creator to show off my musical prowness anyway
