Gah is the mc server kinda dead now?
Anyway look at this [CLICK]
Pretty much you can no longer have any gaps between ladders. I wouldn't mind too much but it means that quite possibly many custom maps will get broken as some use ladders for platforming sections.(including mine :P)
So what do you guys think?

Well, I never really left gaps in my ladders because I like it better when they're all together.

On topic with Minecraft being laggy for a lot of you, another option is to press CTRL + ALT + DEL. Open up your task manager, go to the process tab, right click the process "Java" or "Javaw" and select "Set Priority". Then select "Realtime" or "High".

I've been doing that for a while now. But only on "High", since some people said not to put it on RealTime.

EDIT:
I made tests and there's definetely some memory leak going on with Minecraft right now. When I open Minecraft, wait for all the graphic to finish loading itself, I am at like 560mb. After that it will get higher, gradually. After a couple of hours I was at 800mb. Did a "save and quit", booted the game again and I am back at 560mb.
What does the "realtime" priority means anyways? That this process is a priority only while a program using it is currently running?Last edited by RangerZero; 04-17-2011 at 06:04 AM.
Currently studying level design!
My best LBP1 levels: (from oldest to newest)
- Ultra Beginners and Girlfriends
- Crazy Train! (hard/normal)(better in LBP1)
- Sack's On The Beach
- A Bark In the Dark (hard and normal)
- Space Sack's Adventures: The Blue Planet (LBP1 only)
- Death Swamp (hard)(LBP1 only)

Thanks!

Huh. I'd noticed that my computer gradually got slower as it ran Minecraft, which could be fixed by saving and quitting, but I never knew why. Maybe the extra memory is some kind of cookie that is built up from your play data; that would explain why saving and quitting Minecraft clears the extra memory.EDIT:

I dunno know. I really dunno what I cookie would be used for, honestly. In my experience in software devellopment + the fact the game gained memory on me without me exploring therefore generating new chunks of land, I suspect the memory leak coming from something that's always there, always running, no matter what you do. Probably the NPC spawning. Notch retouched it lately for wolves and brown sheep so even make more sense that new bug could be introduced.Huh. Although playing in SMP was fun, I'm still having as much fun in SSP. Only because I installed mods that I have an epic time with.
- SDK's gun mod
- More creeps and weirdos
- Humans+
- Baby Animals

Industrial craft is another good ssp mod. tho i haven't used any mods in a while as they tended to make my game crash every now and then.
