Ok, been exploring the caves that roam the earth below New Mercus, they seem to never end!
[SPOILER]An huge lava lake I found near the bottom layers:

There's an entrance in the desert right next to New Mercus. If anyone wants to explore it and gather its resoureces, feel free. (I've had enough iron) And if you venture into new caves, place torches in the right side of the cave unless you are going back or the tunnel is too large an requires full lightning.

Planning on making an exploration team and venturing into the caves sometime.

One more thing, I don't know if it's going to help but it's worth a try:

1. Go to "Run" on the start menu
2. Type %appdata%
3. Open ".minecraft"
4. Open "Bin"
5. Left click "minecraft" file and open with Winrar or Zip
6. Delete the folder named "META-INF"
7. Close RAR or Zip and try to run Minecraft

Okay so i assume you've found the .jar file labelled "Minecraft", What you need to do, Is open it in an archiver like Winrar or 7-zip, and then scroll down and delete META-INF

To be honest, I'd just delete the whole minecraft folder.

Speaking of that actually, did you make sure to download the correct file? From minecraft.net/download, make sure to click show all platforms, because the Mac OS X file is hidden by default.

I've never actually used a Mac in my life so I can't help anymore if that's not the problem.

META-INF is located inside the minecraft.jar. To open the minecraft.jar:

1) Rename "minecraft.jar" to "minecraft.zip"
2) Double click to unzip with the mac's defaul unzipped
3) Delete META-INF from within the folder (and drag any files from mods you want to install while you're at it)
4) Select all files. (CMD+A)
5) Right click and "Compress"
6) Find the compressed file in the folder. Rename it "minecraft.jar".
7) Put the new jar back in the bin folder.
Don't use ??? Profit meme.

Right click on of the highlighted files. It's in the "right click" menu.

My compress part isnt showing, but the others, are... Maybe its because its compressed enough?

Meh, I guess it has something to do with the GL, ive looked into it. Guess Ill have to wait for another update CMON NOTCH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right click on of the highlighted files. It's in the "right click" menu.

Mac = One button mouse
One button = No right click

I'm pretty sure you can still right click with it though. The button tilts on whichever side you click. I THINK though, haven't used a Mac in a long time.
