Forgive me for asking such a N00b-sounding question, but what on earth is Spleef? I assume its some type of Minecraft sport?

I really look forward to buying myself a full copy of the game before it releases, but ive been holding onto my money like a newborn baby seeing as my windows of money-making oppertunity are getting smaller and smaller. I really look forward to joining you all in the server soon.

Spleef is a sport in Minecraft where players must try to break the ground out from underneath their opponent's feet. The last player left on the upper portion of the arena wins.

So, in case anyone has been living under a gigantic rock, Minecon is today where the full version of Minecraft 1.0 will finally be released after years of alpha and beta and stuff. IGN will have a livestream of it here. Woo.

This also means we'll probably have to wait a while for bukkit to update to 1.0 on the server. So I was thinking, until they do that, can we just stay on the current world but get rid of all griefing rules and have a grief day?

AFAIK everything we've seen so far (in pre-releases and such) will be included in the full game, and hopefully some surprises.

1.9 basically is 1.0, if you've played the 1.9 pre-releases then no, there probably won't be anything new unless they've managed to keep some stuff secret all this time, which I doubt to be honest.

I've got a 1.0 server running, the IP is [See edit below] (I think, it should work). It's just running off my computer though so it can only hold a few people, just until Memo updates craftworld.

Also, I used my favourite seed, "Real men don't use hardcore." It's beautiful.
