I'm looking into other server hosts now. This host ran great for a while, but it seems to have gone downhill......time to jump ship, yo!

suggestions for server hosts would be good. i can do anything up to roughly $40 a month.

edit: I'm looking at this one specifically, and their skeleton pack. tell me if you've had any experience from them, good/bad/ugly

I haven't used anyone for hosting, so I wouldn't be able to give any advice. These guys look like they'll be good though.

Skeleton pack would give us more ram than we would EVER need, and the 35 bucks a month is aropund your price range. They look professional, I think this would be fine!

yea. i have yet to see any actually negative comments from anyone with an IQ higher than your average fencepost. i'm leaning more and more to it. i just wanna find some non-derp'd negative feedback before i jump in. (blame my networking teachers on that.)

Because his system and connection aren't powerful enough to host a 24/7 server for about 20 ish people? Silly question, really.

Memodrix and I would like to know if everyone wants to start a New World now, to go with the new server, or wait until the New Year? This time, there would be no massive spawn point (just a small shrine) and we might install towny. Thoughts?

The power bill of leaving your computer on 24/7 would be greater than the cost of renting a dedicated server.

That, and unless he has a beast of a machine, the server would only be able to handle about 5 people.

I don't want to start a new world again. i thought this one was going to be it, for at least a while. I say stay with our current world.

My computer that I used to host a server can handle 32+ people easily and the cost of power for a year would be less than two months of dedicated hosting.

We need a new/old world ASAP. Some of the chunks in this world are corrupted and take 10+ minutes to load.

Alright, put up the last world. But can you spawn a hilly forest or something around the castle? It's way too flat and boring.

Also, I left the coordinates of my new spawn building in the town square, on a sign. If you could save that for another time please?

And finally, could you save the big tree thing? It's a Kernel's lunch making machine, and we'd like it to go on our perm world. Cheers!

Delete it.
It's a scourge on the race of MineCraftians.
Put back the world we just had.

For those out of the loop:

The population of our server currently lives in a swamp filled with dirty pig natives and breakfast machines, with underground potholes and strange green sweage water instead of ocean water... Yeah, if you can, wait until the original server is back online.
